Does your church have 30+ singles? Is it making this season easier?

Hello All,



Does your church have a singles ministry? Does it help you during this season? How would you improve it if not? Have you voiced your concerns?





I attend a large church in TX ans the singles are broken into 4 categories:



20 something's, their careers and education

30 + singles

Singles parents

Over 50's



My current 30+ singles has a Ralley twice a month that ends with us going out to eat.....An end of year formal event.



Ok so at my church all small groups are separated by men and women so besides the Ralley every thing else is either man or woman specific. This seems to carry over in the Ralley and after dinner all the guys and girls sit together and besides leaders coming over and saying hi there is no interaction......





I attend a great church and have met some amazing Godly women.



I remember when I was in the youth group as a teenager and young adult and I had brothers. We prayed for each other and looked out for each other. They were like my mom's child so I never thought of them in a romantic way......I wish I had that at my current church



Have I voiced my concerns - No....



Side note my pastor did a sermon recently and asked all the singles and the the marrieds to stand and 80% of the church is single....he preached he did not know that....
