Posted : 12 Jul, 2012 02:25 PM i was hearing a song by kirk franklyn and vicky yohe and got all teary eyed! it's amazing how God can inspire a song to touch your very soul and bring out so much emotion! happiness, or regret, depression, or jubilation, thanksgiving and restoration, peace and victory. some songs just get to me. some remind me of better days or struggles God took me out of! like some kirk franklyn songs like "silver and gold" and so mnay of his early worship songs, and lately i have been listening to vicky yohe "one moment", and i must say what a blessing and what an anointing! what songs have touch you? Posted : 12 Jul, 2012 05:35 PM Onward Christian Soldiers...my grandmother's favorite Trust and Obey...the first song my oldest sister could sing I'll Fly Away...my next to youngest sister's favorite All three are celebrating on the streets of gold and worshipping Jesus in Heaven...my grandmother 98 great years, my oldest sister 49, and my younger sister taken home at just 30. Looking forward to them and other family members greeting me when I arrive! Post Reply

Posted : 12 Jul, 2012 06:08 PM There's a song from New Life Worship called "Overcome" it brought me to tears because I as having an especially difficult season so I cried and declared that I will overcome. Then I heard how the song was birthed and I started weeping all over again. :) If we're talking about hymns it's Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus. Post Reply

Posted : 16 Jul, 2012 07:45 PM I enjoy Somebody touched me and Just a closer walk....grew up on the traditional hymns and southern gospel. There are some newer songs that are good...I'm just not as familiar with them. One that does make me tear up at times is Thank you for Giving to the Lord.. It reminds me that when we are faithful in the little things, we will reap rewards unimagined when we get to Heaven. We won't even know all the lives we touch until we stand before God...and it still won't be enough! I 'sing' my repertoire or kids songs to my nieces and nephews and the babies in the nursery when putting them to sleep...Jesus Loves Me is my favorite for that. I'm just amazed that it actually calms them down...because I sure can't sing very well...but it is joyful:laugh: Post Reply

Whenever i reflect on my life, i realize that i am far imperfect, full of sin, full of guilt, always letting God down!, always doing the opposite of the right i want to do but God still loves me the way i am!
