Seriously... be honest with yourself...

So today I went to bible study (young adults) and we have a study (each time) off of what Pastor Miller preached about (last sermon was: The wonderment of Obedience... I believe was the title, forgive me if i'm off): and one question (asked at the meeting) was asked ( I hope I have the question accurate) : How can you balance your walk with the Lord in your life?
I then said, " If the Lord is not the center of your soul, the Love of your life, your first love, the foundation of your universe, then you are not balanced. You cannot give 100 percent to the Lord if you are giving more to something else."
someone then said "Ya exactly! I was dating this girl some time ago, she was ON FIRE for Christ, she even encouraged me to be more and more on fire for the Lord, but we were both putting eachother above God in our lives. We even said 'Well we are godly ppl and we can still be together AND serve the Lord... But God told us 'I share my glory with no one. you both are putting eachother above me. Let go, follow me.' and we did!"
I then said really thoughtfully, "I have been struggling for a time, not just financially (no job) but emotionally, spiritually. I would tell the Lord 'God! I dance for you, I read my word, I pray, I am a woman who honor my parents, I honor the Church, my desires are godly why am I not having Breakthroughs!!! TELL ME!!!'..."
Then the Lord told me this... "You have not obeyed. With Obedience comes breakthrough
Obedience is better then Sacrifice. Trust me and Obey me. Come back to your first love, come back to me. you have lost your way, you have lost your focus on your calling as a worshipper, you have neglected that. you have been focusing on something else other then me. You cannot serve what you love better then me AND me. I am a jealous God."
I FINALLY... Let go completely. Sigh... Oh! The freedom I felt! Everything lifted off of me... I was no longer walking in a fog of emotions, confusion, doubt, trying to work things out myself AND Help God in my life!!! I was (as my Pastor Miller says) "Walking in the F.O.G - Favor Of God", His Glory which is so thick you can not see through it!!!!
Was it easy? Oh my goodness gracious me, NO!!!! It was PAINFUL, but... I will say this... once I finally gave it to the Lord, BAM! That Pain didn't last it was just for a minute... The Lord will give you Grace to go through pain when you obey him.
So I ask you people this: Is Christ your First love? Or is your Job, Relationship, Friendship, Family, Technology, Romance, EVEN ministry above the Lord? (Cos even ppl put ministry above the Lord... they are involved in ministry when they are not involved in the Minister... ).
Listen to me, If you are after other things above the Lord, come back... don't go too far. come back to your first love! Oh for the peace back in his arms is so comforting! Come back to him all who are weary and heavy laden for He will give you Rest! But its only in His arms you will find that peace... only In Him... In Short: Do not Be looking for Love (romance, or the love of other things in this world) If Christ is not enough. With Obedience comes blessing!
