Col. 3:21 Fathers do not nag your children. If you are too hard to please, they may want to stop trying.

This little verse has meant alot to me for along time. It May seem like a little verse to you, but it has a hug meaning. It shows that if we are too hard others, they will believe they can never measure up or achieve the goals we require of them. In this same way, God knew we could not measure up. Therefor, he had compassion on us, with patience and understanding. For God sought and lifted us up with love through Christ. Even though we did not measure up, he showed us his total exceptance for us. In this same way, we should seek to lift up others and our children more then we seek to always be correcting them. Children and people know what is right. They are seeking exceptance, and love. When they know they are totally excepted and loved unconditionally, they will try harder to please and do the right things they know to do.

I have to say, the Lord sure does work totally the opposite from the ways and thinking of the world. Those who always seek to only correct and then love, will find they push others away, instead of drawing them. God uses love, not correction to draw us. God loved us first then he guides us with love. With God love is given freely, with the worldly thinking, it is always continuely having to be earned over and over again. I guess the little tid bit is not so little after all. Because just like the verse says, (which comes from him). Fathers do not nag your children. If you are too hard to please, they may want to stop trying. Isnt it quit ironic how he (Our Father) does exactly the samething for us, he instructs us to do?

Gods Continued Blessings And Love,

David
