We've discussed this before here, but it's worth discussing again. Especially since we have some new people. (And my scores are a bit different than they were previously.)

Go here and take the test: http://www.5lovelanguages.com/assessments/personal-profiles/?profiletype=singles. And then report back because we're all curious. Well, I am anyway!

6 Words of Affirmation

A lot of the questions were difficult because I would choose one or the other depending on the situation. Like say if I'm dating someone, I'm touchy-feely, but otherwise, I'm really not.

I see that words of affirmation are not high on the list. It was my lowest one too.

My theory on why "Words of Affirmation" is so low on many people's lists, and why "Quality Time" is so high, is...

If we are spending quality time together, words of affirmation will naturally be spoken. If I spent quality time with a guy, and he never once said anything to affirm me, I would probably be a bit disappointed. And I think that I would be most likely to affirm a guy verbally while spending quality time with him; I might affirm him at other times as well, but the quality time seems to be the venue that most easily allows me to speak words of affirmation.

Perhaps I'm strange in that aspect. I don't know. But I suspect that if the answers that hinted at quality time were removed from the quiz, many of us "quality time" folks would probably tend to choose the answer that most closely hinted at words of affirmation.

I think you're dead on, BC. I'm an encourager by nature and I realize that I have more need than most folks to be encouraged; that didn't really come out in the results.

Words of Affirmation

Actions dont always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, I love you, are importanthearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.
