Admin	Why is she keeping this from me? Posted : 10 Jan, 2011 09:28 AM I've been talking to a girl on here forever, like almost a year. We really like each other and I basically told her everything about me. She doesn't want to tell me her last name for some reason. What does this mean? Does she not trust me, is she hiding something, is she playing with me? What is wrong with this picture? I'm sure she's told everyone else she's talked to but she won't tell me. It's like I don't even know who she is. I told her my full name and tons of other stuff. She has no reason to not trust me. And when i say something about dating or whatever she says she doesn't want a relationship right now and yet she has tons of guy friends and talks to I don't know how many guys. She told me some story about a black man attacking her at work and how scared she was. Is she just playing with my emotions? I really have feelings for her and I care so much for her but she keeps distant from me. Should I just forget her or what? Post Reply

She says stuff like she wishes you were there to hold her, not because she longs to be romantic with you, but because you occupy some sort of puppy-like close friend position that women seem to have. I had a very similar experience over a period of a few months this past year, much of the same type of stuff you describe and more, it's a long story. I'll only tell you this... Backing off or retreating is sometimes a wiser move than to stand and fight. Scrapes and bruises heal over quicker than do the wounds of a broken heart and hurt feelings. Give her some space and go meet and talk with some other girls for a while, keep an open friendship with her then and see what happens. We can only hope she'd realize what she missing without your presence and support. It's also a good time for you draw close to the Lord for guidance, maybe some healing and strength, and to pray for her too. Hope this helps... Jim peace in Christ, Knight! Post Reply

Dating other women can get the other girl interested in you, sure, but if it doesn't, you've been meeting and out with other women. You'll probably find one you like better. It's a win-win.
