Waiting is not easy. Our nature is to fret and worry. Instead, God calls us to confidence and peace. Exactly how do we move from anxiety to peace during singleness? First, when you are tormented by loneliness, you need to review what you know to be true about God and then take your thoughts captive and make them submit to the truth.
God is in charge, He knows what Hes doing in your life, and you can trust that He has not lost control of your circumstances. Not only does God know what Hes doing, His plan for your life reflects both His all-surpassing wisdom and His fathomless love for you. His plan is good and right, and you can TRUST Him with the details of your life.
The mental battles we face when single are not specific to just single life. Many of our Christian sisters face similar emotional struggles with spouses, children, jobs, homes, cars, family relationships, and so forth. Even the struggle with loneliness will not be alleviated simply by a change in circumstances. Have you ever been in a relationship and still felt lonely? The godliest of spouses will not be able to satisfy the deep longing in your soul for relationship.
f you are in this stage of life, I am so sorry for the loneliness you likely deal with most days of your life. Going to bed each evening and waking up each morning alone is a very hard thing. REST ASSURED, WE ARE NOT ALONE, God is always there , WITH US!!
Isaiah 30:18 (ESV) 18Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you,and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.
Isaiah 40:31 but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Lamentations 3:25 The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; he inclined to me and heard my cry.
Psalm 37:7 Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!
I am having trouble dealing with loneliness as well. I have a good job, I have everything but yet I have nothing. As you have said you wake up every day and go to bed at night just to do it all over again gets pretty tiring. I find it super hard to be satisfied in life, I want more, there has to be more to life than this.

In response to your message, thank you this what just what I needed.
you're welcome. I looked up with your profile and i saw you're on your twenties, 20 to be exact? you're too young, you can do a lot of things to overcome your boredom in life.
you say you have everything yet you have nothing?? wrong! you have GOD IN YOUR LIFE and that's more everything!
Eccl. 1:8 says "No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied; no matter how much we hear, we are never content."
- you know whats the secret of satisfaction. It's seeking God!
"Seek your happiness in the Lord, and He will give you your heart's desire."
@IamGodsPrincess, for this beautiful rendition, i must say thanks to you. Keep the flame.
@QuietlyYell, how then shall we say it, for if God be for you, then you need not fear anymore the pain of loneliness for weeping sometimes do go on for the night, but its a sure thing, joy songs do come through in the morning. For me, I can understand what a man feel when having got all things to life, yet at the days end, there is still a hollow within making all you have accomplished and gotten like it was never there in the first place. I can relate to that. But be assured, it wont last long.
One way to combat feelings of loneliness is to quote scripture and fill your mind with truth that can set you free. Another way is I read the word silently and most times aloud alone to myself. Some other times, I spring to my feet and in a spirited attempt in those moment, I began to speak to myself in THE HOLY GHOST! Jude 1:20 -Building up yourself upon your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost
Finally, Psalm 42:5 (New International Version (NIV)) - "Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God,for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God."
Today my future bride needed encouragement in waiting. When we are walking by faith and waiting on God for something we some times forget that God has things for us to do in our waiting.
Sometimes we think we are waiting for God but in reality God is waiting for us.
That got me thinking about what kind of waiting God does. Being a man who waites to be united with my bride, Jesus also waites for those He sacrificed. God sending His son that He might find unity with His creation waits. The Spirit of God waites for the surrender of hearts that would believe. This waiting from the very beginning of things.
You see God relates with us in waiting. When we see waiting as a good thing because what is to come is good then we will be encouraged.
Many times our focus on what we do not have robs us of the joy of what we do have.
Ultimately we can look foward to the celebration together in our unity with God around His table in fellowship with Him and oneanother.
