This is a Christian site and I feel that Christians should be willing to get to know one another as friends not Lovers. He was a long time Baptist member and claimed to be a Christian. We call this "gossip." One can EXPOSE evil while NOT exposing the person. One can talk about not finding a guy like Glenn but not even mention Glenn. That is where it becomes gossip. Here is a scenario: Lets say a guy breaks into a pastor's house and while doing so found some adult magazines. The man goes to the pastor's congregation the following survive and shows everyone what he found when he broke into the pastor's home. Does this justify the man breaking into the house because the pastor had adult magazines? Umm... you know better, of course it doesn't justify it. Is pornography EVIL? It certainly is, but it doesn't give us the right to do what the guy did. You are 40+ years old, I don't think this is anything you don't already know. :)

She provided a concrete example of an evil intention. Other than giving everyone here her login name and password, we only have her word, or anyone else's, to know for certain that this "Glenn" sent the message, it is only gossip. By your narrow definition, anything can be considered gossip. Giving testimony can be considered gossip if it involves another person, named or unnamed.

We aren't in a courtroom so it's pointless to argue about something so trivial. Btw, I know who Glenn is and that is because I've been a casual reader of the forums in comparison to most other forum readers/posters. So it kind of debunks everything you are saying about anonymity as clearly at least one reader is for certain who it is.

More than 99% of the people on that forum couldnt tell you anything about me, other than that I am a devout Christian, socially, and politically conservative. Length of time on a forum means nothing. Also, I signed up here because a friend told me about this site years ago. Although I only signed up recently, I have been "lurking" for awhile. How many people on here do you think are named John, Mike, Stephen, Glenn, Bill, Paul, etc? My point is, you do not have the right to chastise the OP for her comment. Unless you are a moderator here, her actions are between her and God. She was shocked and offended by what he said...as she should have been.

We forget that even God gives individuals the right to make choices according to their own wills. Glen has made a choice according to his will. I am not supporting his position but supporting his honesty. Never the less not my will but you will be done....Jesus words in confronting the cross and His suffering. Whos will be done in your life? It's been confirmed and this will be the last I speak about it. We all have the right to do as we want, I just feel it's tactless and juvenile to mention someone specifically.

His choice to do according to his will is (open ) rebellion and seperates him from God. Unless his rebellion is delt through repentence he risks being seperated for all eternity. If we confess Jesus as Lord and continue to live in open rebellion, is Jesus really Lord in our lives? Jesus is not only our redeemer but our Lord. We have been bought with a price and we are not our own any more. So we are called to glorify God in our bodies. So is fornication glorifying to God? We have to abandon this attitude that we can do anything and still think we are redeemed. I we think about it, isnt it really a slap in the face of the redeemer Jesus who paid such a cost on the cross? Raise the Standard, Michael
