Posted : 22 Sep, 2011 03:16 AM I think in our cultural the biblical meaning of love has been lost and has been replaced with the word lust. We should not live in fear, but just be aware that the devil prowls around like a roaring lion ready to devour us. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. We all know this, but did you ever think about this.......... Lust is inpatient, lust is not kind, lust envies, lust boast, lust is selfish. Lust dishonors others, lust is self-seeking, lust is easily angered, lust is selfish. Lust delights in evil, and does not rejoice with the truth. Lust harms, lust lies to get what it wants, lust is distrustful, lust leaves us hopeless, lust destroys hearts. Love and lust are very different. Love is patient. Lust requires immediate satisfaction. Love respects peoples boundaries. Lust does not. Love is kind. Lust is harsh. Love brings peace and contentment and lust brings dissatisfaction and discontentment. Love does not demand its own way; lust does. You can read about characteristics of real love. Lust may feel like love at first but when physically expressed it results in self-disgust and hatred of the other person. If you just can�t wait, what you feel is not true love. Sex is like taking an asprin for a sore head, it solves a problem, but the art of 'making love' is like enjoying a great four course dinner. You start off with soup and salad and slowly work your way through the different courses untill you get to dessert. It's important to make sure that your lady is properly satisifed and has enjoyed the expereince. To me, that is the only way to have 'sex' take your time and enjoy ! Post Reply
