You've been out a few times and you decide to invite him or her over and your going to make dinner. OK, so what do you cook?

OR if you dont cook, what would be the dinner that would win you over????

I'd ask him what he liked. And I'd pick from that.

I thought of my favorite meals, picked one, and asked him if he liked that meal. He did, so that's what we had! It was lasagna...so delicious! When he invited me over, he asked if I liked what he was planning to make, and I did. Neither of us are picky eaters, though!

I'd definitely (of course) have played the investigator prior to cooking him a dish, then add a different twist to his favorites... just to give him an appitite for more. Then slowing reel him into the big whammy!! :eat: My braised salmon and vege medley with baked sweet potato & cheese. Then a little chocalate and strawberries for dessert! Yummy yum... :yay: ~ GraceMae

Don't even bother cooking spaghetti if you don't have any white wine to cook the hamberger in.

When making a burger always sprinkle salt and pepper on top.

Also when it comes to burgers: the smaller the bun, the better.

A plain slice of wheat bread w/ the crust cut off slightly toasted, or a french roll, or anything that is a bread is better than an official hamburger bun.

And maybe this is just the German in me talking, but a good beer seems to really bring everything together and top it off. So enjoyable.

ONE Word!

Chicken Al Fredo! (Chicken Alla fred!) with broccolli added in w/freshly baked Foccasia bread. Tossed salad with Reggianno Parmsean and a Homemade Mayonaise dressing (made in a blender...as you watch me). We would "start" with a nice glass of Greco di Tufo wine (a nice "earthy" white).

To really impress you I would sing 'Al di la' to you in my best Dean Martin.

I could tell you my recipes but then I would have to cut you all, so to prevent all the unnecessary bloodshed, I will just mention the dishes:laugh:.

Spicy Louisiana style collard greens with smoked neckbones, 4 cheese homemade macaroni and cheese with green pepper, along with grilled talipia fish seasoned with a combination of lemon pepper, carribean jerk and orange peel and other things I can't mention. I would finish it off with my raspberry almond sweet potato pie with whipped cream and coffee.

I would not feed this to anyone except the man I want to marry. After feeding them this meal, I cannot get rid of them!

I don't give away my recipes. That's why I call them "MY" recipes. However, one of my favorite meals to prepare is an appetizer of Shitake mushrooms stuffed with my special veggie blend and covered with smoked Salmon. This would be followed by a small bowl of curry vegetable soup made with chicken broth and coconut milk and then a "Birds Nest" salad made of cabbage, bean sprouts, red pepper and water chestnuts with a Shitake vinaigrette dressing. The main course would be Hunan style Chicken and veggie stir fry. Dessert would have to be something simple like vanilla ice cream with cherry sauce and cinammon. I would also serve Green tea but Plum Wine or Sake is optional.
