TEXTING and such..

Hey wonderful gals,

Is a question that is kinda on my mind about texting "edict" and situations that sometimes occur in a similar fashion. Let's say I start texting a girl, they are both interested in each other so this is strictly about texting, and I don't want to seem like I am being too aggressive in the pursuit, but at the same time I don't want her to forget she is being pursued. Here is the situation: We have been texting off & on most of the day and I know she has other things going on and after she sent her text and I replied with two different messages a couple hours ago... In your opinion how would you want the guy to handle the situation?

A: The guy waits till she texts back.

B: The guy texts her back the next day.

C: The guy texts her a couple more hours later.

D: All of the above. (haha, sry had to) Suggestions?

Well...I don't text much, actually. In fact, I just got unlimited texting a few months ago, and up until then, I flat refused to text because it cost 25 cents per text! But anyway, answer your question...

A or B. I think that it would be ok to text her again the next day, but even better to wait until she texts you back. I wouldn't recommend sending persistent texts, because she might genuinely be busy and not have time to read them or respond...and constantly having her phone notify her of new texts might get annoying.

Yeah, I have been thinking that is the best route to take, but at the same time I know people forget, especially when they get busy so I was kinda thinking that my original thought was the best route to take regardless.

ya I agree, A or B...

Well, not only because she may be busy in her day, but perhaps deep down she wants to know if you truly want to talk with her more because you truly are interested in her. Anyways, I could be wronge... but for sure A/B :)

i would just wait for her to respond. If she doesnt, then in the morning, shoot her a "good morning" text.

its better if you wait for her respond first, and if she doesnt that day then you can test the following day but not soo many texts in a day,it would nag to see soo many texts from one person everynow en then.dont pressure.

If you've sent two in a row (in a row meaning she hasn't replied) then I think it's best to wait for her to reply. Like you said, she might be busy, and you don't want to seem insecure (not suspicious insecure, just OMG-is-she-mad-at-me every time she doesn't reply sort of insecure). I like it when the guy takes the first step but it's not necessary and after the first point the pursuing should be mutual. There's no reason why it should be okay for her not to reply you but for you to be good with replying her.

And the no-fail way to go... is just ask her. How does she feel about texting, and if she doesn't reply, should you just assume that she's busy or does she simply enjoying being pursued? (Still, in my opinion some expression of enjoyment should be given, it doesn't take long to type a smiley on the phone and hit send).

C.

Women like to be pursued. Go after that woman.

Question...have you ever thought about picking up the phone to call? :glow: She might be a woman like me who prefers talking over texting.
