Posted : 12 Apr, 2011 02:56 PM Greetings Ladies, Being widowed is terrible, but being a widowed man is worse. I've been asked some very thoughtless and hurtful things by some incredibly mean women. If your spouse of 16 years died would you like to hear hurtful questions along the line of "Did you kill your husband?" Well, how do you think I feel to hear someone say to me,"Did you kill your wife?" Sometimes folks of both genders need to think before they type or speak. I welcome any comments:stop: God Bless! I'm really sorry to hear that any woman's said that to you. People in general can be quite cruel and uncaring, and just malicious for no reason. I certainly hope christian women haven't been asking you these sorts of questions for no apparent reason. I will be praying for you. I'm sorry you lost your wife, sir. Posted : 12 Apr, 2011 04:31 PM From experience I can tell you that 99% of people have NO idea what to say to someone who has lost someone close to them. They say they most nosy, thoughtless, stupid, hurtful things. Out of ignorance and their own confusion to say ..... something. All that is really needed is "I'm sorry to hear about your loss". Posted : 13 Apr, 2011 12:33 PM Yes, women that claim to be Christians have asked me that most ridiculous and hurtful question! I was interested in the response you ladies had for me. I certainly didn't want to have ANY preconceived ideas that most women would ask such a thing. Yes, most folks don't know what to say. However, to ask someone if they are the cause behind the death of their spouse; well, I feel that is "Mean Spirited," to say the least! Post Reply

Still others love to provoke a reaction. If it's any consolation, Jesus had "similar" accusations aimed at Him. By the prince of demons he drives out demons, He saved others but can't save himself, He eats and drinks with sinners, etc. Laugh at their small-mindedness if you can; if not then turn it over to God who judges all righteously. But yet it doesn't surprise me the lack of empathy people have nowadays! :( I notice ppl thoughtlessly say things because they are "joking! So why are you offended! Omg... so touchy!", today ppl blame their stupidity, lack of empathy, compassion, ignorance and plain do not know what to say on "joking" (what they find humorous).
