Posted : 27 Jan, 2011 03:07 PM Mine are BLACKHAWK (remember this DC team of heroes who started out fighting Nazis, then all kinds of aliens and super villains with super weapons they invented? Sometimes too, one of them became "super" themselves through some method, which aided them in their fight against evil) ... and The Fantastic Four ... and The Justice League of America (consisting of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, The Green Lantern, Green Arrow etc at various times and in various combinations)!!! :dancingp::dancingp::dancingp: Steve Post Reply

I started out reading Archie comic books as well and that start has given me a lifetime love of reading in general, but I've always had a special love for comics. That has translated over to the movies. Special effects technology & CGI have caused Hollywood to bring some of best to life. I know Blackhawk and nem. Captian America, the Hulk, the Phantom, the Avengers, but especially for me (during my college years) Batman and his nemesis Kane. Recently, I almost reflexed and slapped somebody who said they had never heard of the Green Arrow.:laugh: Love the X-men too. As far as T.V. is concerned the Superfriends were/are the best. I have the first season of the original Superfriends on dvd, the one with the Wondertwins and Gleek(they could have kept them but loved them as a kid). I've had a special spot for Superman and Wonder Woman & the Hulk. I loved the Christopter Reeves movies and I loved the Wonder Woman tv series with Linda Carter and the Hulk with Bill Bixby. I think I love the back story of these three the best. There are new versions of different collaborations of the Superfriends and Xmen out for sale and rent especially in Redbox, but they bleed, curse and its kinda graphic. I can handle them but must watch first before I let my kids watch. Yeah, they're 10, 12 & 15 and I still censor. Post Reply

Posted : 29 Jan, 2011 07:23 AM Lots of comic book hero lovers out there, as well, TV and movie superhero lovers!!! :yay::applause: I agree with ya, God's Girl 1965 ... The Archies and The Bionic Woman are super terrific too ... and don't forget: THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN!!! Both them, I think, would make a BAREFOOT GREAT transition to the silver screen someday with all the computer graphics and 3D possibiliities now!!! Who do you think would be good choices to play these superheroes? I forget about the later versions of The Green Lantern being a black superhero in the comics ... they can change who is The Green Lantern because its his "green lantern" that gives any man or woman The Green Lantern powers, but, I prefer him as he is now, white again, as played by The Sexiest Man Alive: Ryan Reynolds!!! :dancingp::dancingp::dancingp::applause: Stilll need to get out to see this new Green Lantern movie one day.
