Concerning disabilityPosted : 1 Jan, 2011 06:36 PMHi ladies and Happy New Years. Well this is my 3rd day here and finally able to post in forum ( smiles ). I am recently divorced and would like to make some female friends and hopefully one of those might lead into a serious relationship. However I notice many women on many dating site post that the man must have a job, no deadbeats. I understand that you all do not want a couch potatoe. However some people do have disabilitys such as my self. I don't consider myself a deadbeat, as I do draw disability check. When I was married you might of called me Mr. Mom lol as I took care of children when wife was gone. I also did as many household chores I could and took care of the outside. I also did 90% of cooking which the family loved my cooking. So how many of you knowing a man is honest up front about being disabled would give him a chance and see what he had to offer. Or would you just right him off right away knowing he did not make a lot of money or maybe just afraid he would be a deadbeat. Please be honest as I want to know if I have any chance of finding friendships or even love again. Thank you all so much. Love2cook63 :eat: |

Concerning disabilityPosted : 1 Jan, 2011 07:30 PMI would not hesitate to give a man a chance --- as long as other things seemed to be compatible. It takes time to know someone, and I will not disregard someone just because of a disability. |

Concerning disabilityPosted : 1 Jan, 2011 08:00 PMYeap, find me a rich lawyer or doctor woman and I'd be Mr. Mom.... clean house, laundry, dishes, cook, shop, take the kids fishing, hiking, bike riding, horseback riding to the mountains and the beach, keep all the horses tuned up and take care of the biggest ranch she can afford! 8 ) |

Concerning disabilityPosted : 2 Jan, 2011 06:02 PM@ Love, the fact that you still try and help around the house, despite your disability shows you are not a deadbeat. Yes, there will be some women who will not want a husband with a disability. But at the same time, there are just as many who do not see it as a problem. Trust God to bring the woman He has for you. |
