Questions for a potential husbandPosted : 15 Dec, 2010 08:57 PMI can't think of any questions I would ask. I would have my eye on them like a hawk the entire time they were visiting though, because you can figure out a lot just by studying people. |

Questions for a potential husbandPosted : 15 Dec, 2010 09:07 PMI agree watching is as helpful as anything. I'd probably ask what their plans for the future were, see what they were most interested in, and ask where they stood on several issues. I'd have to feel my way through the questions, but would include questions about finances and family. I'd also want to see how he interacted with kids and other adults, and would definitely want to know how he felt about his family-parents, siblings, etc. |

Questions for a potential husbandPosted : 16 Dec, 2010 04:54 AMIf it was my sister, I'd ask the young man,"Do you promise to love her just as Christ loves the Church?" |

Questions for a potential husbandPosted : 16 Dec, 2010 06:11 AMThank you all for your thoughtful answers, random musings, looney contributions, and insight. Here I had a list all lined up, and what I should be doing is listening and watching more. Well, I can do that too, but he IS going to get some questions. |

Questions for a potential husbandPosted : 16 Dec, 2010 06:52 AMI would suggest talking to a potential husband about their views on saving sex till marriage. I have talked to a couple christian men about this topic and when I questioned them they would say that they would abstain from sex if it is what their partner wanted and if they felt that their partner was trust worthy. If they were not with you, who are waiting, then it would not be their first choice to wait. How easy it would be for them to fall into temptation when they find someone willing to sleep with them. Therefore, they were saving sex till marriage for all the wrong reasons. I believe that you should abstain from sex for your partner, yourself, aswel as for your God. If you feel your partner is not trust worthy then why are you with that person? |
