How would you name any future children you might have? Would you want to pick a name? Would you want your husband to pick the name? Or would you both come up with ideas and decide which one you liked the best?

Baby girl = Cassiopeia

Hubby would not get a say in that =P

Okay... kidding... But, I REALLY LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the name Cassiopeia.

I think it would be nice for hubby and wife to select a name that they both like and that has a nice meaning.

I'll give her girls names if she gives me boys names, but we both get veto power if we really don't like the other's choice. I like family names and using last names for first names, but naming isn't the most important thing to me as long as my kids aren't at serious risk of being made fun of.

There is an insurance agent who is named Rhett Butler. Yeah, that really instills great confidence in him. What were his parents thinking?!?! Another person that I see advertised on billboards is James Bond. I'm not sure what his business is, but I think it has to do with bailing people out of jail.

As for naming my kids, I think husband and wife should both have a say in it. I really like normal names, but not super popular names. I also wouldn't want to curse my kids with unusual spellings, hard-to-pronounce names, or any name that could guarantee teasing. Also, from a teacher's perspective, there are some names that I just could NOT name my child because of horrible students I taught with those same names.

well, I dont think I'll be having any more babies but if I did, hopefully it would be a joint effort, I'm easy :)

My oldest daughter was named after her dad and the younger I just loved the name.

I would love for a son to be named after one of the men I admire in the bible.

Isaiah

Paul

Peter

Gideon

David

Abraham

Moses

Timothy

so many more...but these names are common.

how about, Habakkuk...just kidding-

I can help name grandkids:) My daughter is having a baby and if it's a girl her name will be Bethany JoLynn- if it's a boy, it will be after the dad...but I'm fighting for Micah or Nicholas, cuz the dads name is Antonio Joaquin...now, you see why I want Micah or nicholas? I guess I could always have nicknames for him, like...Micah or nicholas, LOL

just kidding, I just always tease her.

I hope no one gets offended, I am hispanic so Im not prejudice against them..please dont blow this outta porportion.

Both give ideas and pick; I like family names. In my family, all the first born girls are named Margaret. And only those first-born girls can pass the name down. I made the mistake of telling my sister that since it was looking dimmer and dimmer on me having more kids that she could name her girl Margaret if she had a girl. My mom (also a Margaret) liked to have flipped out. Eh. No pressure.

Ok, a little off topic, but I thought this was funny.

We have a guy in our church with the last name of Christ, it is pronounced similar to grist instead of the traditional way. His son was looking to marry a woman from Guatemala, so I suggested that if he had a son, he could call him a popular Spanish name: Jesus.

when I was in child-care, I took care of a baby named Virginia Hamm! I kid you not!

My grandson's name is Gabriel, which is nice, but my someday granddaughter could be Lillian.

Lillian's a pretty name, but LILY LABODA?!!

I'm trying to persude my daughter-in-law otherwise!!!!!!!

I have some names in mind, but my husband would have to like them too. If he doesn't, we'll have to pick out some together or maybe I'll like the ones he picks out....maybe. :)

Most importantly, they have to be meaningful.
