The problem with ThanksgivingPosted : 25 Nov, 2010 02:15 PMMy Dad is a wonderful Christian, but he doesn't really get into holidays because he doesn't understand why special days are needed to be thankful, to celebrate the birth or resurrection of Christ because he always says these are things we should do everyday. |

The problem with ThanksgivingPosted : 25 Nov, 2010 05:51 PMThe point of a holiday is not that that's the only day we should celebrate whatever it's about, but to say that we find it so important that we should set aside a day to make sure we are reminded of how important it is. |

The problem with ThanksgivingPosted : 25 Nov, 2010 07:05 PMI don't think that the point of the holiday is that we only give thanks on this one day... but rather to give us a chance to take a moment away from the grind of everyday life to gather with friends and/or family and feast and enjoy the company of said friends and family that under normal conditions you would not be able to enjoy. |

The problem with ThanksgivingPosted : 25 Nov, 2010 07:29 PMYes, we should give thanks everyday. I agree on that. But sometimes we need a reminder and when we caught up in the busy life.. Holiday is good, to remind us for taking a break. |

The problem with ThanksgivingPosted : 26 Nov, 2010 06:24 AMWe all have all kinds of things to be thankful for and to praise God for every day ... when we take time to reflect on our lives and God's presence in our lives and control over all of life ... Thanksgiving as a specially-designated day to do so gives us an opportunity to do this with family and friends in a more focused way!!! :yay::yay::yay::applause::applause::applause: |
