If women only knewPosted : 16 Oct, 2010 11:31 AMsilverfire: why is it nerve wracking and difficult to give your heart to someone else? |

If women only knewPosted : 17 Oct, 2010 04:03 AMRiverOfLife: It is difficult and nerve-wracking because you don't want to be hurt. Then there is fear of rejection, wondering if you can trust the person, wondering if you have obeyed God to the full (did I do everything I was supposed to?), doubt about yourself (can I do everything that she would like/expects), and even more doubt about yourself (do I really deserve someone like her). Then you wonder if you can commit, wonder if she'll really let you do the things you like doing in 10 years, wonder where the relationship will go (will it all be in vain?), and probably a few more complicated questions. So it's not an easy process. |

If women only knewPosted : 17 Oct, 2010 11:20 AMIt is a pet peeve of mine when women ask men to give up things they love. Men need to be responsible and put their husbandly duties as their priority, but they also need time to chill and relax, whether that's going golfing or taking a whole day to go fishing or whatever else it is they love to do and need to do to unwind. It's unfair to expect them to give up everything they love. It's not like women do LOL. And the ones who DO give up the things they love hold it over their husband's head, even though I highly doubt he ever asked her to! |

If women only knewPosted : 17 Oct, 2010 12:43 PMI agree w/ you, cowgirl. It seems like a lot of women expect their husbands to give up so much of themselves, but are unwilling to give up (or spend less time on) their own interests. I have yet to know a woman who gave up recreational shopping to spend more time w/ her hubby. |
