Posted : 11 Oct, 2010 11:10 AM If you want to meet a lot of guys, then all you need to do is have a brokenhearted pity party apparently and update your "about me" to state the following: "I'm not looking for a boyfriend right now and have no intention of ever being in a relationship or giving my heart away again." In like 10 hours of being off CDFF overnight, I received a ton of messages--16 of them from men I've never heard from before. Of course, they all want to offer me a shoulder to cry on and saying that I'm beautiful (if they only knew that I ate about 10lbs of chocolate last night and that I probably won't fit into any of my clothes now) and that I deserve someone nice like them who will treat me like a queen, blah, blah, blah (which is great, really; not dissing on these guys at all). Who knew that being pathetic was the key to finding men. Argh. I need to figure out a different way to discourage men, since indicating that my heart's not available isn't nearly as effective as I'd anticipated. Post Reply

I mean, it's not like I'd talked to any of them before in private or on the forums or anything, so they don't even know me. How do they know they'd even really want me crying on their shoulders? The noble guys are trying to ride to your rescue; the not-so-noble guys think that depressed women are easier to manipulate. And it absolutely doesn't matter that they don't know you from Eve. There's nothing like a trying circumstance to bring people together, right? Or so they're thinking, at any rate. Posted : 11 Oct, 2010 02:37 PM Pixy, I don't play a damsel in distress real well, but I like trying dfferent things to see what results I get. I get all scientific with it! I've tried different pics to see which gets the most views. I have a black & white pic from above showing my partial profile with my eyes closed. That one is the winner! But who can really tell when ppl can have their settings so you can't see that you've been viewed? Yeah, lots of men want to be Captain Sav'em and there are a whole bunch of women who do want to be 'rescued'. Post Reply

I'm getting way more views with this one than with any of my other pictures. SilverFire, maybe I don't want to be rescued, though. And I certainly don't want to be manipulated. Maybe I just want someone who can be a friend and love me no matter what. And maybe I just need time and another box of tissues. Picking things up with someone else straight away isn't going to fix anything. All of these guys wanted to immediately attach themselves to me romantically it seemed, with their "advertising" that they were just the ones who were so nice and perfect as to never break a girl's heart. Which we know isn't true anyways. And I think I broke his heart too. I thought he wouldn't even care, but I think it's just suddenly dawning on me that I was wrong about that. And besides, like I said, mascara doesn't come out of clothing easily... Crying is messy and vulnerable, and why would I really want to be that vulnerable with someone right now. Post Reply

I found the most successful pic I ever had was that pic of my back side :laugh:, turns out that guys love seeing woman from the back than seeing the woman from the front side :ROFL: kidding :goofball: Some other things I notice is, if you're being way too bold or spiritual, you don't get too much response as well.
