Do you read some things that turn you off right away and make you not want to read the profile further? Why? For me if a person does not take the time to write anything in their profile I assume they are not taking the process serious or could not be bothered. Some men write They are a Christain for all questions or I will tell you later. They are just a nice guy. No real meat. Another big turn off is someone who writes a profile with abbreviations. Am I talking to a high school student who is texting? This is my first impression of the person and I can barely understand what they are saying... Post Reply

Also I stop reading right away when a guy starts off by saying I'm (nice, kind, loyal, down to earth, shy at first...etc) It sounds sometimes to me like a repeated pattern. All these aren't bad qualities but it doesn't really make his profile unique, or tell me who he is; unlike when he writes about his testimony & walk with Christ, views on dating & marriage then in a few lines u could know somewhat where he was and where is he heading. Some write a lot once they get started but just don't seem to know where to start on the profile. And once they've started talking to people, I think they forget to go back and update their profiles. On the other hand, the ones whose profile pictures show them standing with a woman about their age make me hesitatant. Who is she? Sister? Mom? If so, why? Girlfriend? Wife? If so, yikes! Post Reply

With lots of space between each paragraph and all the scripture verses written out in full. Yup - pass. Men who write like they are texting Men who write one long sentence that has only one period and no punctuation. Men who write sentences that make no sense - that seem to be chopped up from other phrases they have copied from someone else. Men who only have one picture I treat very cautiously Post Reply

Posted : 27 Sep, 2010 07:07 PM * Men who pose on their bed, or take their picture in front of their bed * lots of pictures shirtless * who do not mention God or what He means to them * describe themselves as "laidback" - that could mean anything. * who describe themselves as "incomplete". Only Jesus can make you complete - not a lover, spouse * "open the door for you" kind of guy. Shouldn't have to state this, it should be a given if you are a gentleman with any manners.
