Maybe someone can help me with this...

A girl sends you a wink or adds you to her favorite list. An innocuous 'Hello, how are you?' message is sent and a reply email is never sent back. Is a girl expecting a three paragraph introduction? What am I missing?

Thanks and God bless!

First of all I have to say that I love your profile. I can tell it's all you and that's a good thing!

Secondly, Idk what those women are expecting, especially since they initiate contact. Your response after receiving a wink/fav seems to be rational and normal.

Maybe you can do social experiments on them. Pick out 5 women, whose profiles are (basically) the same and send 4 of them the same message. The other one you can send a 'control' message. You can either send the four ladies your usual "hey, how are you" and the other a detailed message or vice versa. It would be cool to see what you find if you decide to do that.

On another note... maybe they might not appreciate your experiment, if you decided to do it of course. But hey, everything shows character. What have you got to lose? Good luck in whatever you decide:waving:

I think you are missing she is playing and not serious about her search.

Just my opinion.

I don't understand the whole favorites thing anyway. What is the point of adding someone as your favorite? It just seems like an odd "feature" of the site to me.

My only suggestion would be for you to write two or three sentences in your reply. Something that says thank you, but also something that lets her know you read her profile.

I also think your profile text is terrific - it is certainly unique. God's blessing on your search!

I think the idea of the 'favorites" list is so you can add them as a "friend" and if you wish you can contact them with out having to track down an old post or whatnot...

Yes. I've put some profiles as "favorites" because they seem interesting, in tune with my personality/beliefs, a possibility and in order not to have to search for them again. If I don't receive an answer, well, I look for others.

Also, I might put others as fave because I met them in chat and consider them good friends. :D

Hi! Youre profile is great. Very creative!

My answer to your question is I will put someone in favorites so I don't have to sort through all the other profiles to find them. Also to see if they acknowledge me. Kind of saying I noticed you do you notice me?

As far as the wink, I'm not sure on that, maybe they are flaking out or just nervous. Online thing has me a little cautious too but I wouldn't wink at someone I didn't want to talk to.

I think your email is fine since you don't know enough on them to send a whole letter.

I would just wait it out and keep looking. If they are interested they will respond sooner or later. But I for sure wouldn't take it personal.

Have a great day!!

Good luck and God Bless!!

Vllygrl,

I am with you on the whle wink/fav thing. I though mb the wink was only for those from overseas who barrage by poor wink button..lol.. The fav thing is both a sort and a gentle prompt. I think the wink thing is a little bit creepy just like the "poke" on Facebook, who says that! I dont poke or wink at strangers, but I do give a sincere smile. So mb they should change the button to "Captivated smile." It is just a thought from a guy in Delaware...
