Volumptuous, thick, thin, whatever sized beautiful women, please hear me! One of the most important things you can do for yourself is to ask God to show you yourself through His eyes. Stop juxtaposing yourself against what you think men want, models and your fav anorexic movie star. Love yourself! If you don't, yield that to God & He will help you. Be the size that YOU want to be. You will then attract men who will love & see you for more than the weight & age-changing, outer shell.

So if a woman wants to be 500 pounds, she should go for it?

You think I jest, but there was a news story on this very thing, an obese woman made headlines after expressing the goal to reach 1000 pounds, with her BOYFRIEND cheering her on.

Now if King Kong's sister can get a BF, y'all ain't got no excuse. :goofball:

That story is disturbing! I don't know whether to laugh or stop, drop & pray! Jokes aside, everyone should be as healthy as they can be. You don't have to be rail thin to be healthy. So aside from the, 'I'm trying to get my 15 minutes of fame while waiting on my heart attack', yeah women should be whatever size is comfortable for them.

BTW, speaking of Princess Kong, I've seen large people with small people and large with large. They've all looked happy to me.

Great post BG! Somehow, I don't think the women wanting to be 1000 lbs. was asking God to show her herself through His eyes. Our bodies are the temple of God. It's about us and God before it's about us and anyone else.

Cheers!

Thanks for the support, 'Why Come' crew! It is an old but effective trick of Satan. The ultimate purpose is have us so full of self-doubt that we never fullfill our created purpose and destiny. In the meantime, we are caught in the cycle of comparing ourselves to other women, envy, jealousy, all the while feeling inferior. Once upon a time I was there and part of my ministry is to help break that cycle.

I personally am disturbed by the whole weight viewpoint that some people have, no thanks to the media. I used to be rail-thin in high school...and now that I'm pushing 30, I've gained a little. I'm slightly overweight now, but I'm working on it and eating better.

Fat, thin...whatever. Everyone is beautiful, especially in the eyes of God. I find it rather unnerving that the actresses and models of today are like walking sticks, and the media tells us that this is beauty. Just look at the super market tabloids of all the celebrities who have gained weight plastered all over the front page, with the headlines obviously portraying negative viewpoints about their appearance. I guess this helps to make "normal people" feel better about themselves, but I find it revolting.

Just look at the 1950's, where Marilyn Monroe dominated over Hollywood. Men adored her and she was the biggest "sex symbol" of the time, and she wasn't exactly skinny. Even the fashion models of that time were more full-figured, and they actually had curves and they didn't look like sticks of bamboo with fake smiles plastered all over their faces. Even back a few hundred years ago, full-figured women were considered more attractive because they looked healthier.

Well, I'm done ranting.
