Admin	I want to know... What's wrong with being fashionist of love fashion? Posted : 19 May, 2010 10:37 PM A few days ago I saw a post from a person saying that it was wrong for a woman to have as interest: the music, fashion, and another topics. The truth I never could find the link in the post to answer to that person.. Personally, I was studying fashion design career for economic reasons I had to stop, the truth is a world truly selfish, vain and elitist, but Fashion really is much more than watching a beautiful model with a lot of makeup wearing a Chanel or Armani dress in Vogue magazine. Fashion is an art. Fashion is when someone leaves a lasting impression on a garment. Fashion is talking about a talented designer with a unique and unrepeatable. Fashion is talking about someone who has talent, talent that has been given by God, Which God wants everyone to know. I think that before anyone talks about fashion, should be well informed... I dont know.. I know that in the world of fashion, is very difficult. Before someone judge, we should see as a chance for more people superficial, the opportunity to know God. Posted : 19 May, 2010 11:42 PM When a guy hears that a girl is interested in fashion, he hears high maintenance. If he ends up marrying her, his money is going to go to refreshing a wardrobe every year so his wife can keep up with the fashion race she's in with every other woman out there, usually in clothes he doesn't particularly like her in. After all, the people in charge of fashion aren't the ones interested in women. That's probably part of why fashion models look like skeletons instead of having curves, but that's another conversation for another day. Do I believe that it's inherently sinful to be interested in fashion design? No. Just understand that most of us guys think spending thousands of our dollars on shoes and clothes you don't regularly wear is frivolous. It's probably a good idea to make it clear in your profile that you understand the value of a dollar and don't necessarily expect to be given a New Jersey Princess lifestyle simply because you are into fashion. It may be used to glorify God as much as anything else, pastoring a church included! God is the creator of everything beautiful. How people use or abuse fashion is another issue altogether. Posted : 20 May, 2010 04:47 PM I have no problem as the field is designing clothes.I have more of a western style clothing for good. Just t shirts and jeans all the other time. Posted : 20 May, 2010 05:11 PM There is a difference between people who like to buy the latest fashion and people who work in the fashion industry. I think Tulip is right about men being reluctant seeing their income flly to keeping up with fashion.... however, women who dress design and high fashion clothes usually have their own career and iincome. Also the fashion industry is usually looked upon as shallow and overglorifying the (perfect) body. Reason enough to clarify your views and opinions in your profile, (also to avoid that men see you as a dress up doll for their own use and glory...) Post Reply

Posted : 20 May, 2010 05:32 PM I do not need to clarify my views, I'm just saying that there is nothing wrong with a woman has an interest in fashion or working with fashion as in my case. I understand that there are men who think that if a woman is interested in that, perhaps because they are afraid of paying a high lifestyle. What I am trying to say is that about one comment I saw : it was about a woman who has the interest in music, fashion and other things do not necessarily be a bad person as a Christian. That's what I try to say is that a guy refuses to know you because he sees that you are interested in fashion because what he is doing is pre-judging without knowing you... that�s really really tonto. Also working with or in fashion does not mean that you are a bad christian. There are people though who have very fixed ideas. I remember once, I mentioned that I like Madonna with the Papa don�t preach song and somebody answered me: hey but aren�t you a christian??? But I did clarify myself. I really hate it when people stay walking with these ideas though. And you what, the person who said that was not a christian himself... Post Reply

Yes fashion can be seen as expensive clothing and jewels, but God's creates beauty for us, and heaven sounds pretty expensive. All those roads of gold, and jeweled walls... Some men like jeans and t-shirt girls, some guys like girls in jeans and heels. I dated a guy once who said it was important to take a women out to dinner, dressed up a fancy dress at least once a month. He said he knew the importance of an expensive heel...I mean why watch a girl suffer and kill her feet? I think I was wearing my $10 heels, and yep, by the end of the date I was barefoot. I know that guys don't want to get married to a girl, who wears t-shirts, and baggy, flannel p.j. bottoms to bed every night. Because when you don't really care how you look, you wear what's comfortable. So it's a catch 22. Even if men don't want to spend money on fashion and clothing, they still want you to look nice. One of my friends is a stay at home mom. The deal is, he gives her money each month..and even though she stays home, she looks attractive when he comes home from work. I mean, who wants to spend their days looking frumpy. And who wants to come home to a wife who doesn't try to look great for him? Even if it takes an extra 5 sec, I put in a pair of earrings. I wear my favorite colors, I threw out my 'comfortable' clothes, and I feel amazing. Oh, and wearing a dress, and getting taken out to dinner once a month, really does make your woman feel amazing. I know.. well.. being fashionist besides having a good presentation, this projects a good image of yourself projects that you care about yourself, how much you value yourself as a person. Not necessarily, you have to be super thin as the top models or beautiful features, simply makes you a different personality and interesting and no need to use a piece of thousands of dollars, you can buy something economical but knowing how to dress. The beauty of a woman is her smile. I also think that before look beautiful for someone, you should look beautiful for yourself. I take myself really hard work sometimes to think I'm beautiful, but the truth is I am beautiful. God makes me beautiful because I�m his princess :D but sometimes being fashion helps a little.. hahaha:ROFL: Post Reply
