I dated a blind girl once, things didn't work out, and I'm not the type to pine over the past. However, I'll never forget the way she could "feel" when I was upset, or losing weight due to overwork. She's always stuck in my mind because of that. Anyone got anything along those lines?

dear skinny, yep i sure do.. bout 10 years ago or so..when i first started seeing someone from online.. it wasnt the first one but lets say the first good one.. hehe

i met a wonderful lady.. in her pics you couldnt tell anythin was wrong with her.. she knew how to hide it.. cause she was a little concious of the fact.. but she did tell me about it before we actually met..

she had lost her left arm almost at the shoulder.. when a dumptruck she was driving turned over on her..

i cant quite imagine the pain she must of went through..and had some even when i met her im sure..

but i admired that lady so much because she didnt let it stop her from doin.. she learned to adjust..

she could use that one good arm and the nub of the other and her feet and toes to do most anything anyone else could. it may of took her a little longer and im sure it was frusteratin at times..

but she didnt let on if it did..

i learnt so much from that lady.. about perseverance and not whinin bout my own little aches and pains hehe..

and how you can do anything if you set your mind to it..

she were a true gem..

we met quite a few times and would of prolly been an item still if she could of moved here.. she didnt wanna ,she wanted me to move there and i couldnt or wouldnt hehe..

but im like you skinny ill never forget her cause she really made quite an impression upon my ole self..

she didnt see herself as disabled.. and i didnt see her as disabled.. i seen her the way i see myself as able ,just not able to do all i used to could hehe..

Hi,

I was born with cerebral palsy, so I can tell you first hand that people with disabilities don't see themselves as disabled. They see themselves as everyone else just differently abled but people that may not understand give that label as disabled
