just had a question about using i.m Is it better to send an email or an i.m when first meeting someone. Just curious

I think an e-mail conveys so much more information and allows you to express so much more and it shows that you care enough to make the effort to actually write something down.

"instant" just isn't that romantic to me.

I do not use IM's but will answer them.The ladies who IM me I have learned alot from.In a short time you can learn a lot.

I have experienced both. It doesn't matter to me which I get first. IM is sometimes fun since the responses are more immediate.

Hey brandon.... I think I'd prefer an initial email. For me, more personal for starters. Then after we're comfortable and IM is suggested, sure IM might be stimulating. :goofball::glow: ~ GraceMae

IMs are fun, but somehow I tend to take them less seriously. I often have the feeling that a guy was just scanning the list of online members and randomly picked me for a chat partner.

If a guy is really interested, my advice to him is to send an email first. Or maybe a wink and then a follow-up email shortly after the wink. Once a friendly conversation has been established via email, IMs are a great way to get to know someone better.
