Posted : 25 Dec, 2009 09:04 PM hi! as i am new to this site and can't find a thread of this nature , i thought i would ask the question: if a lady says possable relocation on her file , how far would she actually move from her children and family? 50 miles, 100 miles or futher depending on a possible marriage style partner.i guess the answers would be varied as the people but i would like a general synopsis. thanks for your time and replies!! antiqueknight[dave] Post Reply

Posted : 25 Dec, 2009 09:18 PM Well, I'm still young, so I would be OK with basically starting the rest of my life in a new place. I do love where I live now, but I'd move for the right guy! As for how far, I would really like to keep it within one day's drive. That way, there is at least a good chance of seeing my family here at least a couple times per year. I'm not at all interested in moving to another country. I do not want to move until I get married. Depending on the situation, I might move into a closer temporary home once engaged, but the only reason I can think of is if the wedding were to take place in his hometown rather than mine (which is not really my first preference!). I have no interest in moving just so that I can date someone...I wouldn't want to give up my job and family if there was no long term, very certain commitment in the relationship. I'm perfectly willing to attempt a long distance relationship with the right person, though. I hope this helps to answer your questions. Posted : 25 Dec, 2009 11:08 PM Well, for me, if this is God's man for me, and all feels right, I do believe in my heart that God will provide the answers for us both to determine the hows and whens of making the transition happen. I can't even ponder on tomorrow, but just as scripture says, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (= not trying to figure out how you're gonna do it). If it's God, I trust he'll give us wisdom to work out all the details under His direction. I'm sure my appointed man will have enough going on in his life, as I, and only God could know all the different commitments, obligations, etc... thus, Him knowing that we're the perfect match to accomplish His will. The key is His will... the rest (relocation) won't matter. So, relocating shouldn't be an issue, just an opportunity for God to show Himself, even in that! Many people are reluctant I see, through the profiles, to even contemplate relocating, but realistically, if we believe in God and His powers, why wouldn't He make the way? What seems foolish to some... well, here again, scripture says God will take the foolish things of the world (i.e. two getting together miles an miles apart throught this medium) to confound the wise... to glorify Him in union. Those who say it can't me done, it won't work. Look deep into what I just said. (well --wrote :glow:) Anything is possible with our God! GraceMae Post Reply
