Posted : 18 Dec, 2009 09:33 AM I know this post was inspired by many of the books I read this year on relationships, communication, and even the ones for men that try to teach you how to be a man. :) I believe with all of my heart that a man must examine himself, to put the inside of himself up for "sacrifice" on God's altar, to intentionally have God inspect every fiber of his being, to accept what God says, and to embrace the changes needed to become more authentic, loving, and pure. It's true that many Christians were masks that change according to their circumstances and environment. Even more so, men and women can were masks in the personal relationships they share with each other. Men are famous for not being great communicators, and this may help you understand them more. Behind the mask of a man (for those men that try so hard to keep one on), you may find: 1- An insecure child who secretly desires the unconditional respect of the woman he loves. 2- A prideful and stubborn child who doesn't know how to ask for and accept help. 3- A fearful child who is emotionally paralyzed and unable to render deep expressions of love and affection. Perhaps, there are women out here who have experienced this in previous love, LTR's. I know that women are highly intuitive, and often know more about a man than a man may know about himself. I am an imperfect human being who needs and accepts God's grace every day to live, to breathe, to express more clearly the "truth" that I have learned, to be more authentic, and more useful to the body of Christ in ways that God intends for me. I've enjoyed growing older, learning from my mistakes, and becoming more of the man I desire to be. I can never ask God enough to refine me, sculpt me, and shape me into the image of His Son. Posted : 25 Dec, 2009 08:52 PM it's not a big secret to me. men [i] need to be loved by a lady who will show it and not just vocalize it. thru time; man has been the one to having to prove their love of a woman. gifts, flowers, candy , taking them out continually. don't get me wrong that i am cheap!, but i would like the same attention back as some ladies make more money than me. don't all people like to be shown acceptance by the opposite sex , if it is only a smile, a hug, a touch on the shoulder etc.. all the non-sexual things a hopefully long term partner can do.[ other than bake us cookies:laugh: , but i'll still appreciate the cookies!!] also ladies on any dating site hopefully have the self esteem to say hi! at least on this christian site , hopefully men would acknowledge that here there are ladies of good characterand are saying hi out of friendship!just my thoughts [ antiqueknight ]:waving: Post Reply

However, It's unfair to try and cram men into one of three categories. Everyone's been hurt, and most people have deep scars that they can trace to experiences in their childhood. That's just human nature. Many men need a woman to "reach out" to them not as a manipulative device, but because we want to make sure that you are interested in us. Men have usually had to "make the first move, win the lady, etc..." and I don't see anything wrong with a woman stepping up to make either the first move, or asking for some conformation as to whether you like our attention, or are just too nice to tell us otherwise. But to compare all men to an injured child? It just seems kind of limited and rigid. What if they changed the sex of the question. It would be absurd to say that inside every woman is a child who...
