Spring is soon here and the time for gardening approaches. Travis has an excellent way of gardening that he told me about. He fills a garbage can with dirt and then his garden is right there at arms reach without bending over. He uses plastic garbage cans treated to tolerate UV light. How do you ladies like to garden? What are some gardening tips you have? What ways do you like to garden?

From time to time, I buy plants that are partially grown.

My mom loved to garden.

She liked having plants in the house as well.

What plants do you ladies like to grow?

What are your favorite plants?

Do you like vegetables or flowers? or both?

Yes, I do enjoy gardening. Not too many vegetables since it's just me I'm feeding, but will probably at least plant tomatoes, cilantro, cucumbers... and would love to grow poblano peppers, too. They make the best chili rellenos.

It's the herbs and flowers that excite me though. So many I don't know where to start! I'm definitely planning on Morning Glories (love to see that beautiful blue every morning); it wasn't permitted to grow them in my last state. I'll probably add Black-Eyed Susans (for my home state) as well as Dianthus, Nigella and Flax and more... Many things already growing wild here... it's amazing to me... several types of berries, Lamb's Ears and wild roses. I am hoping to get a Peace rose to plant in memory of my mother.

That's enough from me... hoping some other ladies will chime in with their gardening plans.

"If you're going to San Francisco, be sure to wear flowers in your hair."

That song just makes you want to plant a garden.

Any of you women want to plant a garden?

Or was caring for a garden more just a task for Adam and we are more fruitful passing our hours on the internet today?

Who likes to garden?
