Being blocked - using it as a weapon, only hurts yourself.

Hi, I had the experience of being 'blocked' as some woman wrote me, after we both looked at each other's profiles, and had our 'viewer' stats on, so we both knew we both looked kind of thing... I cannot remember if I wrote her back or not, really forget, but if I wrote her back, I would always wish they would find a husband, or someone special, depending on their circumstances. I try to be sincerely kind. Anyhow, I got a 'block' from this woman. Hilarious, until it's not. She expressed interest in me but I did not reciprocate. I think I wrote her back, but it's possible I didn't, and she responded with a block. The strange thing is I write almost everyone back, except a wink from a divorced or separated woman, as they did not read my profile, so I don't write back. Anyhow, by blocking someone, it sends a message that you are unhappy, and can be used as a weapon of sorts, women, but it ends up piercing yourself for being mean if the block is unwarranted, out of context to situation. If a block is needed, then yes, go for it, ie...intrusive, inappropriate, stalking, bad manners, not being corrected easily, etc. But, don't block someone simply because they are not interested in you... Really? Try and get over yourselves a bit, if you do that, as weapons that pierce can end up piercing you. Just a shout out.

It seems that she didn't want to waste any more time with you. Us humans don't usually take rejection well lol. Blocking you may have been her coping mechanism. I would not wish anything ill on her Zee.

Everyone has different views on proper online etiquette or in-person etiquette for that matter. With texting, there's room for misinterpretation. There's also the matter of baggage too. Oh wells... just need to pray for her :)

Interesting post, blocking someone makes a clear statement

" that they don't want contact" I'm assuming that you tried to message her and that's how you discovered you were blocked...:-)

Hi... Good question, but what happened was she had sent me some other message, so I clicked to open it, and then found I was blocked. It was kind of, (insert eye roll) a feeling. it felt weird...

Well be thankful that you didn't respond initially because to messaging someone. Just so they can see that you have blocked then Is childish a huge red flag...:-)

I fully agree with the op I also tend to use blocking as a last resort. If someone is a bit weird & can't take a hint and starts making a nuisance of themselves...:-)
