Admin	What does a girl look for in a potential husband? Posted : 20 Sep, 2014 11:29 AM Hello everyone! I've wondering for a while now, what do girls look for in guys? I mean, what kind of guys would you choose to be your husband? I ask this because I used to believe that girls fall for passionate, caring, loving, kind, romantic or poetic guys... Always thought that sensitive guys like me were girls' favourites. At this point, however, I'm really acknowledging I know nothing. I'm curious to know what you want in a husband and, if you could, gimme a piece of advice on how to star a conversation with a girl. A conversation that will really flow, that won't be a monologue -with just me sending messages but getting no replies. Thank you, ladies. Post Reply

Posted : 24 Sep, 2014 04:45 PM Well for starters bluesky......maybe the lack of response here could be that this topic has been put under microscope, reviewed, revisited, and revamped here at the forums many times(smile)lol!! But to give the OP the benefit of the doubt, I would be honored to share my take! As already stated, I doubt there will ever be a women out there who wouldn't want a man whose sensitive, compassionate, understanding, loving, kind and all the rest(smile)! Yet for me personally, those qualities must encompass his strong walk and faith in God! And now as my husband......well his unconditional understanding of what it means to be submitted under God as the head of our household, will certainly allow me to submit myself faithfully to him as his wife and helpmate, without question! Knowing first who we each are in Christ and what our roles are, biblically, as a husband and wife, will no doubt bring harmony and happiness to our marriage and lives! Posted : 24 Sep, 2014 05:06 PM And btw OP regarding how to begin a conversation that would flow with a potential mate......I suggest after reading her profile carefully, start by asking her about something in her profile that interests her! It'll show you at least read it(smile)! Chat lightly about topics that would at least keep you both interested to continue communicating......boredom and lack of interest can set in very quickly if you both aren't creative and fresh in the beginning stages! And whatever you do, try not to repeat the same questions and topics discussed already! It'll seem as if your not concentrating or remembering details that could be important to her! Remember: us gals pay very close attention to DETAILS(smile)lol!!! But most importantly, be yourself and have fun! Blessings as you seek God's best! Post Reply

Common sense to the rescue! Really, we men tend to make starting a conversation harder than it really is. A comment on something interesting is how we'd start a conversation with another man. Having said that our supposedly sisters are setting up the standard high that most men can't meet. So if you send a message to one you feel you wanna know, they'll check you up and if they're not interested they'll not reply. The question is, how will you know that I'm humble, loving, caring and so on without communication? Or you want the beaut of the picture deceive you as woman? True Christian women will humbly chat with you not just ignoring your message. Last thing, always end your chat/ message with a question so that she can reply. Like, I am well thanks and YOU? 'cause telling someone that you love him/her is not enough, we must make a person feel that he/she is truly loved. when it comes to a potential husband, woman would always go for man who is not selfish, a family oriented man, very responsible who can provide what his future family need, a broad-minded person who always understand his wife, one who can give time not just financial support, someone who knows how to listen and to appreciate his wife, how to care tenderly, with a great sense of humor and of course the most important is a man who knows God by heart... :angel: Post Reply

Posted : 29 Sep, 2014 12:25 PM I've heard that most women take inward/spiritual qualities more importantly than outward/physical than us, guys. I was told that we are more superficial. (I tend to agree with this but of course, these are just generalizations that don't apply always to particular cases). Post Reply

It's that I'm (or used to be, not sure anymore) pretty much most of those things - passionate, poetic, loving etc... and yet, I can only laugh :laugh: I think I've only met short-sighted girls :laugh: I remember that I used to write verses when I was interested in some girl, but I've always been dumped. Perhaps have liked the wrong girls or have been way too passionate that it scared them... :laugh: Anyway, you reply was really helpful and full of insight. I thank you for answering my question.... If some girls won't still like you despite the goodness you have shown, it only means they don't deserve a real nice person and God prepare someone better for you... just wait patiently, His timing is always the best!
