Blessings PastrPat! Your desire to reveal here at CDFF, much less to a possible romantic interest, a personal issue you've found yourself facing, had to take great courage! I truly commend you my brother! And from the tone of your post, an obvious relief to you to say the least!

If you choose to reveal this situation to a romantic interest, it will truly take a women of substance, faith and understanding to make an honest decision as to whether she would want to pursue a relationship with you or not. Her decision will possibly weigh too on what her personal needs and wants are in her life, at that time. Some people our age may have been blessed to have had a vital and satisfying, physical relationship with a past spouse, and now would feel content in having companionship more than anything!

And then you have others who still feel that having a vibrant, physical relationship in their marriage is a must! Again it will all boil down to where a person is in their life and what their needs are. May God send you who He desires to bring you and her, what you both need. God's best.

I think you should tell. It may matter to some women and some women would be completely alright with that. It should not be an issue of telling unless you were serious about someone any way.

If a marriage is based on what it should be based on and not SEX. then the marriage or relationship will last. The first thing woman is looking for is truth, one can be compassionate without SEX.

To Tell!!!

I think it shows that you are an up front honest, caring man. It also saves you and the prospective lady from wasting time getting to know each other if it is a big issue to her.

Kudos to you...God bless...take it slow....Let God choose!
