Admin	Profiles with pictures but w/o "About Me" Posted : 10 Jul, 2014 12:56 PM In general, I am turned off by anybody who would not at least take the time to fill out the profile information completely. "Ask me" or "I'll tell you later" just don't cut it either. The lack of effort here, I think, speaks to the effort they might put into a relationship. Plus, I now know nothing about you that would make me want to contact you. But, ladies, if you post a picture of yourself but don't fill out the "About Me" and/or the "Interests," let me tell you what you are going to get - if anybody contacts you, it will be because of your looks and you're body only. It will have NOTHING to do with your personality or who you are, because they do not know who you are (nor can they)! So, do you ladies not care when a guy wants you only for your body? Or is this maybe all you really want from a man? Post Reply

Your right it does make you feel like the other person is lazy, doesn't care, or just want you to fall for their body. But this was meant, more or less, to be a warning to the girls who do this, that this will not lead them to a godly man. That is, the profile would be in detail about who they are,their entailed faith statement and also how they serve Christ and NO pic. We are to sow towards the spirit and not the fllesh right? So the men that answer my profile are interested in finding a true follower and not a pretty face. Well most are. There all all kinds of ways to pretend and lie about our true intentions in this venue. Im not 100% sure but only having a pic leads me to believe that these women are of little knowledge about who they are in Christ or they dont know him at all. Maybe these women need some validation on their appearance? Having said that: I used to have my pic posted for years and I got mostly men that were driven by their flesh. Even when I took it down I still have men who profess to be striving for righteousness who are NOT changed in their heart and are not convicted of sex before marriage . The numbers of success are so few with this online dating thing. It simply does not work imho. We must strive to discern people because so much deception prevails. Thats just it. Sometimes people on these types of sites are looking to fulfill their wants and not looking to Jesus as to whether he wants them to do so. In fact most of these types of sites hang a label that they are "christian" but in reality you'll discover if you do the research, most are not owned by christians AT ALL. If I was you I wouldnt put too much faith in this venue. Its far more the world than you would think it is. Yes there are true followers on these sites but its just as far and few between as the real world. Id close in saying this. A person with just a pic has already shown you who they are and where their allegiance lie. Post Reply

My checklist has dwindled to just about only one or two criteria over the years as Ive grown in Christ. If a profile doesnt have a pic, they must be a scammer or is a non-Christian. All you have to do is scroll through the posts here and you will see tons of posts that say basically the same thing. No pic, watch out. If I were to list online, all the ways God has blessed me, I would have to post it in the form of an ebook. I learned my lesson about posting my pictures online more than 12 years ago. Never again. Post Reply
