I think, this dating website is a brilliant idea. I have been thinking about how to lure more people to this site.
I have tought about putting an ad in the local newspaper paying $20 to any Christian single woman just to sign up. Of course, I would be the first person to interview them LOL ;) and I would pay them $20 just for signing up. Of course, there's no way I can verify that they are a Christian. But I would ask some questions about their faith. And I would test their knowledge of the Bible--no difficult or trick questions, just the basics! If they pass, I would offer to take photos of them and help them write an attractive profile. I've been told that I am a good photographer and a great writer. What's in it for me? Well, I am an introvert. I never talk to women, never. And I would get to interview a bunch of women this way. I need to find a way to meet women, because otherwise I will never get married. Of course, at this point, I feel like the opposite of Tom Sawyer. You know, he got paid for allowing his friends paint the fence that he had to paint. And here I am offering a valuable service, helping others, and I am paying for it. That's kind of backwards, I know. If you have a better idea, I would love to hear that!! :)
Also, I have another idea. I have talked to some women who complained that they are getting too many messages. And some men complain that they get none. So, here is the idea: Women would have the ability to set a price on their profiles. For example, you could ask $100 for talking to one of the guys here. Here is the catch: If a guy pays $100 to talk with you, then you have to answer his questions and try to be nice to him. For this to work, all women who want to get paid would have to be verified by sending a copy of your official photo ID or passport picture to ChristianDatingForFree.com headquaters. to make sure that a fake person doesn't collect a bunch of money by creating a fake profile. The verification process would take a few days and cost some money, but then it would allow you to earn money online. Women who are very attractive would be able to collect lots of money. This, in turn, would get worldwide attention, and pretty women would flock to this site in order to make free money. Basically, all you would have to do to earn money is create a complete profile, answer some questions, get your picture verified and PayPal set up, and you would be good to go! You could earn money by just talking to people from the comfort of your home! How neat would that be! This would not only be a free dating site, but it would be a kind of dating site that lets you make money by just chatting! Most dating sites charge people for communicating. This one would pay you! Sounds incredible, but I think it would work very well. I am a programmer and webdesigner, and I think, this could work. But there is no way I could write a website like this all by myself. I mean this is a huge project. It would require many programmers...
Ok Alive, I'll bite(smile)! The only question I have about "your idea" is have you thought far enough into what will be in this for the owners of CDFF? Being that you'll be using their website, which I believe is still FREE.
And about singling out the "pretty women" by paying them more money.....I kinda find that a little discriminating! Beauty, at least to me, still resides in the eyes of the beholder(smile)! I'm gathering that your frustration in finding a worthy match, as so many of us here, is getting the best of you! Don't let it! But don't get me wrong, thinking of a way to even the odds....smoothing out the playing field a little, is admirable! But honestly, if I could have thought of a better plan to make finding my life mate a little easier......well I guess I wouldn't have, as one option, settled on joining CDFF:rolleyes:!! Trust me my brother I understand! And I do truly admire your willingness to even try and come up with a plan! Unfortunately this one may need a little more fine tuning(smile).

I think, this site is generating some money from the ads that are being displayed here. So, the more members, the more income they have. At least, that's how it should work. It shouldn't be the other way around where the more members leads to greater expenses and less income. So, I think, they would break even. That would be the worst case scenario.

I know, but if we think of people as potatoes, then everybody has a value that can be summed up in dollar value, I think. For example, if someone is pretty and young, that adds to their value. If they happen to have a million dollars in debt, that takes away from their value. If someone lives in the United States, that adds value simply because a lot of people want to come here. If someone has a stable, well-paying job, that adds value. If someone has a college degree or doctorate degree, that adds to their value. If someone is smoking, that takes away from their value. If someone grew up in an abusive home and had bad parents, that again takes away from their value. See where I am going with this? So, people have a relative value. Of course, once you get involved with someone, the value goes up. So, anyway, I thought this system would work. But it's just a thought. :P
What I'm trying to get at Alive is that though CDFF has outside advertising, it's advertising that they have set up, contracted and agreed to. Correct me if I'm wrong, you stated that you would run news ads, paying women to join, interviewing them personally, taking photos, etc. Then if all goes well, there would be fees set for men to talk to women. All along using the site as your base. Wouldn't there be some legal/infringement issues(copyright) that would have to be addressed?
Those fees collected....would they solely go to the women? And the money that you are spending to pay women upfront....is that money you intend to later retrieve or is that just so that you could converse with women(smile)lol? Because if that's so and you did allude to the fact that this is a way for you as an introvert to meet women, is this whole thing really about you(smile)? Ummmmmm......it's made me wonder I must say!!!!
And your analogy of people being like "potatoes" in value......well all I can say about that is, thank God He doesn't see us ALL as potatoes:laugh:!! Be blessed.
You misunderstood me. My two ideas are two completely separate ideas. They have nothing to do with each other. The first one is something I can do by myself. I can post ads in newspapers, yes. But the second idea is only intended for the owners of CDFF, because it requires a change to the website itself. They own the website, not me. I can't change their website. If they want to implement my idea, that's fine. If they don't like it, that's fine too. I think, it is an awesome idea, but it is up to them... I am not charging a fee for sharing this brilliant idea, although I believe it is worth a million bucks. CDFF could very easily grow into the biggest dating site online if they implemented my idea. If they want to use it, it is FREE. However, here is a note: I would not want to see a dating site use my idea and claim that it was their idea from the beginning. That wouldn't be nice.
