Posted : 24 Jun, 2014 11:24 PM Hey, MANY Filipino women on this site prefer any guy who lives in the United States, so they can get a US greencard. Somebody from my church married one. Shortly after the wedding, the lady just disappeared like smoke. One day she was gone. She broke the heart of this guy. He thought she really loved him, but all she wanted was to live free in the United States. :( Post Reply

If I got the response from UK women that I do from Filipinos, I'd be fighting them off with a stick: I'd only been logged into this site five minutes when bam, a wink from a Filipino lady who obviously hadn't bothered to read my profile even. I've now been logged in about 20 minutes and three people have viewed my profile and I can bet not one of them will be from UK :rolleyes: Post Reply

Posted : 18 Jul, 2014 05:32 AM It is a sad reality that some are really crazy about going abroad where they "think" the pasture is greener and it is unfortunate that they would pursue the same at all cost. My appeal to this thread, do not generalize, pray for wisdom and discernment instead. In the malls here, to see a white guy in his sixties or older with a young local girl is quite common. I don't judge them, they may have other reasons than love in keeping those kind of relationships, what i know for sure, both benefit from such set-up. Seldom though that i find that those couples are true christians but i met some who are and they are amazing. One or a few unsuccessful stories of inter-racial unions are not representative in making conclusions out of a certain race. We all hate users, people taking advantage of others, liars etc. regardless of their race. AS TO THE TOPIC OF THIS THREAD, well, as mentioned in one of the replies, a christian lady of whatever race loves to have a relationship with a christian man. www.idreamedofthis.com and mikey bustos in youtube may help you understand more of Philippine culture. Posted : 19 Jul, 2014 10:32 AM Don't get me wrong, I'd love a Filipino wife because from what I've heard (and I could be mistaken), they're generally more respectful of their menfolk and treasure their husbands whereas western women seem to only tolerate them and divorce rates show that isn't much either. And if it's a better life for the Filipino woman then that's great too. But I can't afford to travel to the Philippines (maybe once in a lifetime) and Filipinos who can afford to keep coming to the UK probably aren't interested in moving and might even be 'stepping down' if they did. And we cook our one and only chicken to please our visitors. So, don't be surprised if you get emails from Philippine women. They are only being friendly and hoping you will like them. Besides, as of my writing this post, there are only about 900 Filipino men in this website and 15,600 Filipino women. So, it is of no surprise that you are being considered. Post Reply

I looked at your profile and read that you are in the legal profession. If you are a lady lawyer, you need to pray harder for a husband. And I am speaking from experience. My age will soon be out of the Lotto 42 playing card. We should have heeded the advice of the elderly to get married before we graduated from law school and passed the bar. Now, all that is left for us late birds are leftover worms who happen to hate our feathers. I really want to marry a real Christian man who loves the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart, who believes the Bible word for word. But in the end, I know that I have to decide to settle with what is available for me if I want to have progeny. Afterall, it is shameful for a woman, especially a highly educated conservative Christian woman like me to poke an eligible Christian man or step on his toes just so he will notice me. I don't want to act that low. Besides, I believe what the prophet John the Baptist said, that no one can receive anything unless God gives it to him from heaven. So, I believe that it will in the end be justified. And this belief of mine is actually bolstered by the fact that in the Bible, the children born and raised by godly women grew up godly and worshipping the Lord, like Timothy, and those raised by wicked mothers became wicked like King Ahaziah. The quality of the fathers did not even matter. But as for you sister, you still have many good fertile years ahead of you. You have plenty of time to wait. May the Lord's blessings hunt you down as He promised in Deuteronomy 28:2. Post Reply

Posted : 4 Aug, 2015 02:08 AM It's sad to say that some Filipinas who live in dire poverty see foreign men as their meal ticket. I can't blame people, maybe they had their own bad experiences from some of my countrywomen but please don't generalize us Filipinas, As humans, we also have different virtues and perspective in life. Maybe we are not that rich as others but we are educated and we know how to work hard for our family to have a better living and we do it with dignity and morality. Some Filipinas tend to have a relationship with foreigners because some find you sweeter, more romantic, more loyal and most of the foreigners are really into looking for a serious relationship and not simply because of the greener pasture abroad. Let's not judge people base on their race/ethnicity. Stereotypes will always be there.... the challenge here is to rise above them or maybe just ignore them and be happy and contented with our life. Let us leave everything to our Almighty creator for He is the only one who TRULY knows and love us despite our weaknesses. May God bless us all. :prayingf::prayingm: Post Reply
