I have an honest question. I can find in the Bible an honest answer when it comes to can a man remarry, but can anyone show me scriptural evidence where a woman can remarry after divorced? I seem to find the opposite in scripture.

Well my friend, in God's Word.....Deuteronomy 24:1-2:

1--When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. 2--And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.

Is that to have only applied to that day and time.....well that's a whole different topic and set of circumstances(smile)! I only wanted to give an answer to your original question. I hope it helps. God bless.

I'm fairly certain that it's the same for a man or a woman and I find your question kind of odd. You may remarry, (man or woman), if your divorce ended either because of marital unfaithfulness and/or they were an unbeliever (1 Cor 7:15), and divorced you.

I've heard some say that this only applies to believers. That if you were an unbeliever and got divorced for a reason other than marital unfaithfulness that you could get remarried as a Christian because you didn't know better.

I think the bottom line is this. You need to work on your relationship and forgive everything whether it works out or not.

Marriage is a SACRAMENT even in the protestant church fellowships. Unfortunately, most people do not enter into a covenant agreement with God when they marry due to the fact that they have never acknowledged God at all. Divorce for believers is therefore an extremely difficult issue.

... Scenario 1: A man beats his wife often and tells her she cannot leave or divorce BECAUSE God will not forgive her. She is told she must be submissive.

Scripture says a woman is to submit to her husband AS HE SUBMITS TO GOD.

... Scenario 2: A man deliberately goes to a surgeon and has his prostrate altered telling the doctor that his wife is older and wants no more sex anyways. (The doctor finds out later the wife is younger!) The man goes home and BRAGS that she can no longer distract or bother him with sex.

Scripture says when you withdraw from your spouse even for periods of prayer, you must return to them quickly lest they be tempted to commit adultery.

God acknowledges a sex drive exists. He requires purity. People who do not submit to God CANNOT be in covenant to the Lord. Believers who play games with their partners can sin terribly against them.
