Impressing your guy.......

Ladies....how far would go to impress that special guy you've began a courtship with(within moral limits of course:rolleyes:)

Personally I would want him to think that if we've entered into this preliminary stage of our relationship, that he's got my focus......after Christ and family! Bottom line is I'd do all I can to show him just how important he's becoming to me, eg. sending romantic notes, arranging to spend time together, some spontaneous surprises(between him and I:hearts:) etc.

Are there other ideas you guys would like to share?

It's important to find out what makes him happy...if you haven't read the Five Love Languages (Gary Chapman)...check it out.

Too often we base our responses or actions on what we prefer instead of understanding what the other wants.

I like gifts and service...so I would give or do things for him when it could be he prefers words of affirmation or physical touch. Quality time is the fifth language...which hopefully time together is a given!

So, for me it would depend on him but for me it would be natural to give notes/cards, since I travel a lot for work...little things from places I visit, birthday, holiday gifts...I would even probably start cooking again, too!

I think there are many men in our age range that have learned to cook...and enjoy it. Cooking together would align with quality time, gift of service, touch, and could align with words of affirmation...I love how you cooked/cleaned...I think that's a hidden talent:applause:...and gifts...fits all 5 categories...there we have it!

HisJoyisMyPeace:

doing "vs" being

biblical elaboration

38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

21 Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

22 But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.

23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

28 And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Master is come, and calleth for thee.

29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him.

did you notice?

Jesus didnt say," Where's Mary?"

@wykd1......I'm going to make this hopefully simple for you, me and for anyone else whose interested....in the expectance of that "significant other" God is preparing me for and him for me, I'll prayerfully hope that whenever needed, "the spirit of being(Mary)" and "the spirit of doing(Martha), in me, will assure my success in fulfilling my spousal duties......this saith The Lord!!! How's that (smile)!!!?
