Just to lightened the mood.......

I've talked to a few sisters' over the years about how they truly feel about "trying new things" with their potential mates, whether during courtship or after marriage. Talk of trying bungy jumping, skydiving, hang gliding, etc., were at the topic of the list of(smile)!

Tell me ladies, just how far would you go in trying or doing something new that you've never done before, with your potential mate or spouse, to keep the adventure/excitement in your relationship new, without not eventually being called "a chicken" by that special someone(smile)lol!!!?

I learned to cook new things because my husband liked certain foods...I tried some of them, some I liked, some I didn't. I was a VERY picky eater growing up...and still have aversions to certain foods...but I have learned to be more adventurous in my eating.

I learned how to fire weapons...went to the shooting range, even though I learned the basics in the military, I really learned how to shoot a weapon when I went with a friend and had time for one on one instruction.

Years ago I would have gone skydiving if the opportunity had been there...still might just to out do my younger sister (her husband was on a skydiving team in college) and she got to jump once.

I've always been curious about all kinds of things...and so I would be willing to try just about anything that was legal, moral, and ethical. I must say I would be more hesitant on water activities like scuba diving...that's one of my weaknesses but I would be willing to try it if he wanted me to.

I guess growing up with 3 brothers I learned to be adventurous.

Well teach ib, at least right now anyway, we seem to be the "adventurous" gals around here(smile)lol!!! I'm with you.....I've always been willing to try something new once. Now of course it has to be moral, sane and legal(smile)! But it seems like the older I get, the more I want to challenge myself a little. When I was younger, it wasn't so much so.......ummmmmmmm , you know that doesn't make much sense now that I think about it, but I guess it is what it is!

Hopefully my life partner would be a little gentle on me with trying all those new adventures to explore because we both would probably be close in age(smile)lol!!!

I think trying new things is a great idea!!! I had (in my head not his) a potential new mat and he scrubbed, so I got certified. We didnt work but hay now I scuba!!!! And have a lot of fun doing it!!!I got certified because Jim was I am not with him but I scuba a lot now. You should scuba (if you want to talk about it e-mail me) under water 60ft. the surface world fades away and its all the tranquil you will ever need for escapism from life . I would like to skydive but dont know anyone yet who deslol new adventures are fun!!!!!

I just saw an article on a man who made his first skydive on his 100th birthday...it was on his bucket list! Just shows we should never feel we're too old to try something.
