It isn't. I'm sure you, in your heart know this.

I would recommend for a young woman who wants to wait until marriage to seek someone with a biblical worldview. The man would hopefully lead in a godly manner, and arrange places to meet and spend time together that would deter temptation.

I have been wanting to see a discussion on allowing sin in one's heart before it is acted upon, and taking this element out of your life.

i disagree with u, it is wrong to have sex before marriage, cos almost all single men out there are after sex except those in the christian faith.. for e.g what i desire from a lady is not sex but of godly character.

Sex before marriage is clearly a sin. Not a 'Christian men or women' act appropriately, They allow their flesh to act against the will of God. The spirit may resist but the flesh is weak.

Benexcel

When seeing this post earlier I wondered if it was inspired by our current chatt on the mans' forum, if it has been inspired by it dear, please go double check where and when did I mention intercourse in the relationship.

If this is a question that you've asked for your own personal interest then its fine dear brother don't mind this relpy... I'm only making sure that I didn't confuse you maybe since I brought the subject forth. Again I think we all know the answer to that question, don't we dear?

Please take no offense in this, for none is meant.

I don't mean to insult your intelligence and understanding either, just making sure that I did not confuse you on my reply to our current chatt.

Thanks dear brother!!

Thank you, DHTM. I think he forgot how he first phrased the question, a mistake I make often myself... but I digress.

I am happy there is agreement.

Just in case you're looking for my answer to this question, Benexcel, you will find it in the "divorce and failed marriage" thread you posted a while back. ;-)

Blessings, brother!

This should be done in the boundary of marriage.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 New International Version (NIV)

19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Part of being human is having sexual urges but since Christ is already in us, the fruit of the Holy Spirit is also working is us. We can now have "self-control."

Galatians 5:22-23 New International Version (NIV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Temptations are always lurking and indeed, we are evidently exposed to it but we are already victorious in Christ Jesus, our Lord. We can seek God to help us overcome it.

Hebrews 4:14-16 New International Version (NIV)

14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we areyet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach Gods throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Shalom!
