I wonder if i'm kinda misunderstanding your question my brother, not very sure if you mean:

"why do ladies find it difficult to befriend guys from their own country..... Or you mean, why do ladies from out side countries find it difficult to befriend guys who are not from their home country?

Your question confused me a little,

Nonetheless people are individuals with their own personal interests, some prefare local while others prefare international. The only thing I know about relationships' either its in a friendship or personal level,

One must initiate (especially the interested part) to get it off the ground. Then if/when initiative efforts are acknowledged & accepted, both parties are now working together to make it work.

It matters not who initiated, the moment two come in agreement of befriending each other or starting a personal relationship,

Both parties have equal responsibilities of putting effort to make it work. Relationships' don't just workout automatically even if you have a lot incommon,

Communication

Understanding

Sacrifices

Forgiveness

Time

And many more qualities are needed to make it work, hense it could still fail when lacking the above qualities while having a lot incommon... While the next relationship/friendship could work out just fine being totally different from your partner BUT mastering the required values & qualities needed to make it work.

All in all my brother, we're all different

With our unique interests as seaching for friendship or relationship.

The question is:

Do you bother to initiate when having interest on someone?

Do you put effort in mantaining the relation desire from that person?

Are you patient in waiting for this other part who may take longer to react to your efforts of initiating?

Do you follow up or you leave things hunging when unsure of her respond?

Are you persistent? (not it anoying manner)

Its a whole lot of questions you should be asking your self

When understanding that people's interests are different, some want local for convenient, some wanna go abroad to expand.

Hope I was helpful a little

Stay blessed!!

Good points Sisygirl.

It's very scary to think of meeting someone a distance away, let alone in another state, country or on a different continent. There are cultural differences, languages, costs, etc.

In today's society it is difficult to build trust because there are so many who take advantage of people who are looking for friendship. There are lots of scammers who lure women in (and men).

Not knowing how you initiate conversation, I recommend not trying to rush into communication outside this site...often in the first message or two, many men want to start emailing or messaging outside the site. That's not good for the security and privacy of the individual. Keeping the conversation 'light' not getting into too many personal details will keep from scaring someone into thinking you're a scammer, too. Offering up information on yourself will help open the communication...often there are a lot of questions asked but no answers/information provided in exchange.

Don't get too discouraged as the response rate among people in the same city, state, country is low...it's a slow sometimes painful process.

God bless your search.

Thanks, I figured it was time to add some new ones. I'm usually the photographer so it's hard to find ones with me in them.

I've been very blessed to travel to some cool places over the several years...several of the pictures were self taken...one was taken by my nephew at his kindergarten career day.
