Admin	Filipina wears short shorts and jeans with holes in them Posted : 22 Aug, 2013 06:12 PM I have been talking to a Filipina Christian Sister and she see's no problem with short shorts or jeans with holes in them, says they are okay cause it's hot, and it's the style. Ladies, is this common for Filipina Christian Women or do they consider this the flesh? Post Reply

Short shorts... Not for me Jeans with holes in them...it would depend on where the holes are. An old pair of jeans are comfortable! But if I'm going out or to church...not appropriate. Post Reply

Washing of someones feet was generally a greeting when they arrived at a destination because of the sandy trails they traveled on. Look at what the high priests wore....long robes in Moses' days. I'm not advocating long dresses and robes for today's society; however, the Bible does address modest apparel...Christians should dress appropriately as ambassadors for Christ...which we are. View Profile History	Filipina wears short shorts and jeans with holes in them Posted : 26 Aug, 2013 08:41 AM well... as of me it is not ok to wear short short specillay when we go to church its a distracion to others.. being a christ we should act or dress like one.. because unbeleivers will judge the way we talk, act and the way dress, we must show a good example o others. when going to church must be appropraite for the church it is a holy place we must reverence t the Lord God. we must remember we are christian salt and light t the world. As for the woman in question; if all women there wear the same then it's not an issue (it's an issue for you because women around you don't generally dress like that) as there's nothing 'drawing attention'. Put it another way, those women in muslim areas that have to dress like ninjas can be beaten for showing their ankles - to you and I that's extreme but when all the other women there don't do that it's drawing as much attention as women here going around topless. But wearing this at church is inappropriate,of course. There are some very conservative Filipinas who doesnt wear short shorts yet wearing this isn't a big problem or issue as long as it is appropriately,wear. Post Reply

Being one, I think there is a need to distinguish which fold your �Filipina Christian Sister� is. It is easy to sin being Catholic because all you need to do is confess to a priest who will tell you to pray some hail mary�s and your sin is forgiven. Being born again, there is that inside conviction that God is watching you all the time, a reverential fear. Though I believe religion does not define ones faith, and that it is personal. There maybe Catholics who also has reverential fear and don't commit sin as easy. So is this common for Filipino Christian Women?...depends. Though there are lots of modernized young ones, there are still lots of conservative ones. What I observed is that, it seems like foreign nationals marrying Filipinas demand of them to showcase, wear skimpy clothes around you can see their discomfort. It is not common here that we tend to stare. There are times I am one of those who stare to admire, sometimes in pity seeing the girl�s discomfort and caused it to be not suitable for her. �it�s the style�media redefine our conservatism. wearing short shorts or jeans with holes in them depends on where it is worn...at the beach? to sleep? be comfortable? I don't see any wrong with that. If it is worn among dominantly susceptible male companions then maybe it is to entice the flesh ... Post Reply
