Genesis 2:18 -And the Lord God said,"it is not good that man should be alone,I will make him a helper comparable to him". So God did not intend the man to be alone,thats why we should seek God's guidance in our relationships.And where we didn't follow Him initially for luck of faith,we should repent and ask for His guidance now that we know what we need to do. We can seek to fulfill our incompleteness in a selfish self centered way or we can fulfill our incompleteness in a sacrificial giving way. Both men and women need something from oneanother. Men need respect and women unconditional love and acceptance. If we go into relationship seeking to have our needs met rather than meeting our mates need we are missing what God has intended. It is not good for man to be alone and he needs a a woman to express the mind and heart of God. Without this he is incomplete. Because God created man in His image. Since God is a giver and a lover man is incomplete without being able to express the attributes of God. This is a mystery of Gods love for the church and mans love for his wife. Just as men need to lead and love as God does, women have the need to respond and reciprocate giving honor to men. The issue with our country is the confusion of women in their roles. This has caused men to be passive in their roles. We men need to reclaim our roles and trust God that our women will find their roles. Post Reply

In the old testament it says it's not good for man to be alone (well, who was more alone literally than Adam). Not sure any of us is truly that solitary. However, in the new testament a case is made for staying single (I believe in 1 Corinthians). I believe that God gives different people different needs and different strengths. If you feel that you need to be with someone, you should seek someone. If you feel that you're better off to serve the Lord alone...do it. :) Post Reply
