Divorce is mentioned in the old and new testament and stipulations and reasons are given in both. Take the Bible as a whole. Taking bits and pieces of it is very dangerous. I appreciate your concern for women or men who are struggling and also your desire to hold couples together. Unfortunately, I feel your study of this subject is not complete. It is true that "god hates divorce". there is no getting around that...it's true. But there is more than this one verse to talk about such a troublesome topic. |
