I've been on this site for about 2 years now and just wondering if there's anyone set apart from the world anymore.

didn't think I'd have to define this, but abstain from it completely. No tree, No lights, No Nativity scene, No gifts or Santa.

I give presents - that's about it though. I'd also steer the kids away from Santa and such, knowing it to be a lie, but they live with their mum and she's keen on 'xmas' (and I use that title deliberately) "with all the trimmings" so I'm forbidden to tell them otherwise. Thankfully the eldest is getting to the age where most children question the existence of the bearded chap, so in a year or so he'll figure out the truth for himself - just hope he doesn't throw out the idea of God too as another fabrication for kids...

I hope you'll receive a response from a girl soon!

Unfortunately most "christians" celebrate xmas, and get all weird when you ask them about it. Christmas is a holiday that is completely UNCHRISTIAN, and has deep pagan roots.

I hope you find a woman.

Christopher

Jer 10:1 Hear ye the word which the LORD speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:

Jer 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

Jer 10:3 For the customs of the people [are] vain: for [one] cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.

Jer 10:4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Hi there. I know girls who don't do christmass. They are Jehova's

Witnesses for example, and they (try to) live strictly by the Bible.

At least in that case they should be an example to us. I don't

do christmass either, because yes, it's pagan and evil in the eyes

of God, just like many other 'beautifull' traditions.

I see NO wrong in celebrating the birth of Christ-God's greatest gift to mankind.

Ofcourse celebrating, remebering, the birth of Jesus is important.

I should add here that my anwser was based on what Bsgdude wrote:

'No tree, No lights, No Nativity scene, No gifts or Santa.'

Milions of people, calling themselves Christians, do not teach

their children anything about God, but they do teach about a

fictional figure, called Santa, calling him a saint ( ! ) And

that is what that child's faith is based on. On a huge pagan lie.

A child should know about God, and only God, from the beginning,

and be told that our life is the greatest gift of al. To have

something to eat, to have loving family and friends, to be able

to hear the birds sing and most of al to have a chance to live

forever if we show God how much we love him. Not quads, Ipods,

golden watches or toy guns. Ever thought about how you make

God feel when you say '2 words about tradition, and only 1 about

God?' It's all in that great book he gave us.
