I assumed we'd talk for 30 minutes or so, and then go our separate ways. It was "just" a meeting. Three hours into the meeting, we hadn't run out of things to talk about. So I guess the 30 minute idea wasn't such a good one in that case! The second guy I met from an online dating site was actually someone I had known through mutual acquaintances for several years. Our first "official" meeting lasted for about an hour, but we could have talked for longer. The short of it is, I think it depends on the people and the situation. Post Reply

We meet for dinner or lunch and talk and get to know one another, I can not do that in 30minutes. :laugh: Of course, I have to email a while then move to the phone and then decide to meet in person. It maybe take up to 2 months for my first meet in person. Most men live at least 2-4 hours distance away from me at closest so we communicate a lot before Any meeting inperson. I like that, cause I have never been stood up or anything like that. I have only met men in person from another Christian site not from CDFF Yet. I have had that much communication online line here from any One man. lol BTW I would not meet anyone and spend only 30minutes. That is just ME. lol Post Reply

There had been many conversations that ended because I refused to see the guy after a few days or week after talking. Although I am all for spontaneity, there is nothing funny about seeing a missing face on a milk carton. There are wolf's that dress as sheep if you so choose to look hard enough. I personally like the whole process of chat then calls/text for a good 3 to 4 weeks and finally the meeting. I don't have time for just a 30min coffee and if there is chemistry, certainly not ending things on a timely fashion. Also I'm at a point where I learned to value my precious time to just keep "winging it." I feel like I've (pastense) molded my comfort level to meet others expectation of how things should go, to the point where I realized that I was giving up a good trait which defines me and what I look for in return. If a guy is really interested in me, he will not only respect my decision because he feels I'm worth getting to know, and wait for. We have to learn how to simmer and not boil to be able to give our palette an uncanny and memorable feast! Bendiciones! Post Reply
