Posted : 14 Jul, 2012 01:13 PM Not really understanding where you're coming from brother, like me, you are or at least your profile says you're divorced, yet you're here wanting to be married. As for me, neither my former husband nor I were Chrisitians when he pretty much left me for dead to be with another woman. I came to Christ years after the divorce. Just syaing let, not seeing the point, just a lot of finger pointing... have I miss something? Post Reply

I received this council from a pastor when my husband physically attacked me...that I must have done something that I needed to repent of. Not that I was the perfect wife but nothing I did deserved his reaction. Before anyone jumps to conclusions...there was much more to the reasons we were divorced...the details are for private conversation, not public posts. God knows where I stand and I know where I stand on the grounds of divorce and remarriage. Post Reply

I am addressing the issue Jesus teaches about concerning adultry when a man puts away his wife and she marries another how Jesus says she and her new husband al commiting adultry. I took many years to understand the why of this. Once God revealed it to me just yesterday I wen to work proclaiming it. Its all about repentence and reconcilliation.These are the very heart of God. When a man marries a divorced woman they close the door to any possible repentence of your husband and God working reconcilliation. The same would go for a woman marrying a divorced man. That is why my question is do we want to get in the way of God being able to do this work in our spouses life? The real question is are we people of forgiveness and reconcilliation? I am going to preach this from the house tops and knock down church doors asking this question. Post Reply

Posted : 15 Jul, 2012 07:51 AM High Fiving ya teach_ib Did a littel study on this myself accroding the Strong, the greek adultry / fornication root+proiea (kinda make you think of the word pornography right..) should cause according to stongs 4201, 4202 and those, fornication is addictions like porno, drugs, ect which is according to strong Idoltry, whoredom, prostitution (men as well),sex with anmimals, children, anyone/thing outsdie of spouse,etc. but not specifically related to sex. I forgave my former after cathing him, he did everything to get me back, what I didn't know was that he wasn't planning to change, just not get busted again. I wasn't a Believer yet, but I have no doubt it was God and his love for me that put in the right place to see that my marriage was over. I was on the bus and saw my former walking down the street hand in hand with another woman. God knew ow much I wanted our marriaget to work out, how much I wanted to get past what had happened., and God help me let go and leave him to his addiciton. Post Reply
