Dancing?

I totally enjoy dancing and look forward to enjoying a life of happy feet. I like ballroom, salsa, cha cha, swing, hip hop, line dancing, (btw, NO dirty dancing)...

I am coming across some believers who have an issue with dancing. What are your thoughts as to whether you are for or against?

I dance. We dance to worship God, We dance to celebrate, to be joyful. Perfect example Janet Jackson. She went from having some kind of message in your vids where there was fun or even pain and choreography "everybody" wanted to learn, to nothing but sex and wardrobe malfunctions.

I think it's what people do with it (dancing/music) - that's the problem. from Ball Room, to Soul Train Lines to Fred Astaire, I love it all (the respectful stuff).

I use to love to disco in my younger years before I came to Christ. I like a man who can two step when at a nice dinner restaurant where there is a live band, not loud music but smooth Jazz.

But then I am from the OLD school.

Most forms of dancing are perfectly fine. Unless you're dealing with an extrememly consevative denomination and even that may change over time.

:yay:

As far as myself, it's not an issue of whether I feel that dancing is moral or not, I just can't dance (with or without arrows floating up a screen). Besides, I'm Irish/Native American. I can only dance from the waist down and, when I do, it starts to rain (but, for as little NA that I am, it only drizzles a bit).

Dancing? It's a very good form of an exercise. I do like dancing a lot, but it depends on where am I dancing or who I'm dancing with.

I had never been into disco houses, and I never dreamed of going to. The only dance place I went to is on the gym. Dancing for me is a form of art, and harnessing is as for a talent is wonderful. It's another form of expressing our self.

If anyone can teach me. Hip-hop, I would appreciate it. :dancingp:
