Hello. I'm in the middle of day 6 of a 30 day fast and its really important for me to make it to 30 days. I'm dealing with a bad food adiction and it needs to stop now. I'm just looking a someone to be there for me and encourage me. Any tips or advice would be helpful.

Hey Zro,

If God is telling you to do this, you have honoured him greatly. Way to go :applause: There is a bond that grows when you go through something together with someone, totally relying on them, etc. The hunger growls are really a good reminder, everytime, why you are fasting and to talk to God in the middle of your busy day.

If this is just a diet thing, I don't recommend it. It actually makes it harder to lose the weight.

At either rate, you should be doing a couple of things: drinking plenty of water, take any required meds, definitely take vitamins and electrolites, or perhaps only fast those foods that are your arch-enemy, bringing them under submission in Jesus name. Keep in close contact with your doctor! A few days is fine, but that long?...

My final tip would be ... sing! Find that song in your heart that is your love song to God... "Your song", so to speak :dancingp:

Blessings brother!

Pray without ceasing and study your Bible daily. During this fast this will give you strength and allow the Lord to speak to your heart. We should have a Purpose in mind when fasting wether for someone else in mind or for our self Spiritually.

God Bless you!

Agree with the Gals...will add...

2 Corinthians 12:9

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Gods continued Blessings brother...xo
