Are you willing to obey these commands?

Are you willing to obey these commands for any man:

Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Yes, these are the commands God has given, and there are others! And just as God commanded wives, he also commanded husbands, "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her." (Ephesians 5:25) and in Ephesians 5:28, " it is commanded, "So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself." A woman who is loved by her husband will want to submit to him as leader of the household.

It also says that we are to submit one to another which means both partners submit to each other. I believe the man is a covering for the women which means he has a big responsibility to make sure he is following God wholeheartedly so as to not bring the family into sin before God. Also a good leader means they are good servants. Are you able to fulfill these commands? When studying the bible it is important to look up the original meaning of a word such as the hebrew, greek or aramaic because so many words do not translate well into one english word. Interesting topic. God Bless!

The context does not allow for the interpretation that husbands submit to wives as well. The teaching of scripture is that wives submit to their husbands. Here's a sermon on the issue that breaks down the verse in context for you...

Yes! Its the word of God! But only on one condition that the man understands the depth of he passage too, which is unconditional love and voluntary giving.

sister RainbowsfromGod,

I wanted to send you a post that concerns you and not the general public, but am not able to do so because of the age restriction.

If you wouldn't mind talking a bit, maybe send me a message, and enable me to reply somehow.

Your brother.

Thanks brother 'HoldingOutHope' for speaking the truth.

May the Lord bless you with single eyes and heart for him, and may you be zealous for God according to knowledge, and may you love Jesus and our christian siblings and our un-saved neighbors according to Christ's will.

Your brother in Christ, Rohit.

I'm sorry, but it calls for husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church. That's submission.

Usually I have to tell atheists and radical feminists to read further when they like to use that verse to justify why they think Christianity is b/s. Not actual Christians.

Also in the verse before (Eph 5:21) it says "Submit to one another in Christ". I don't see were it says submit to everyone except your wife in Christ in that verse do you? How does that work exactly?
