PROVERBS 32 may not be in the Bible, but the qualities of that man of integrity are every bit as important as the woman of virtue.

PROVERBS 32

Portrait of the man of integrity

32 Who can find a man of integrity? The just [man] walketh in his integrity: his children [are] blessed after him. (20:7 )

2 He is wise and will hear and will increase learning; and as a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels. (1:5)

3 He walks in the way of good [men], and keeps the paths of the righteous. (2:20)

4 Therefore, he finds favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. (3:4)

5 His children hear his instruction and attend to know understanding. (4:1)

6 He avoids the strange woman (5:8) and rejoices with the wife of his youth. (5:18)

7 For he keeps the commandment of his father and forsakes not the law of his mother: (6:20)

8 Blessed is he for he heareth me[wisdom], watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. (8:34)

9 He receives [instruction] and becomes yet wiser: Because he is a righteous man, he will receive teaching and increase in learning. (9:9)

10 As a wise son; he gathereth in summer.(10:5)

11 His strength enables him to obtain riches. (11:16)

12 And his worthy wife is a crown to his life. (12:4)

13 For he even shows tender mercies to the life of his beast. (12:10)

14 Because he tilleth his land, he has stored up plenty of bread. (12:11)

15 Because he is diligent, his hand bears rule. (12:24)

16 Because he walks with wise men, he is wise. Fools are not his companions. (13:20)

17 He is good and leaves an inheritance to his children's children. (13:22)

18 For he hath so loved his son; that he hath chasteneth him. (13:24)

19 And his ways please Jehovah, so that the Lord maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. (16:7)

20 Slow to anger , he ruleth his spirit as a victorious commander. (16:32)

21 In old age his children's children are a crown to him; and the glory of his children are his glory. (17:6)

22 His words are [as] deep waters; a wellspring of wisdom like a flowing brook. (18:4)

23 He knoweth his wife is a good thing because the Lord has favored him to have found her, a prudent wife. (18:22, 19:14)

24 Because he shows himself friendly, he has

friends, for he is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. (18:24)

25 Diligent in his business, he stands before kings and not before mean men. (22:29)

26 He holds not correction from his child; (23:13)

27 Neither is he found among winebibbers, nor gluttonous eaters of flesh. (23:20)

28 Yet, he hearkens unto his father that begat him despising not his mother when she is old. (23:22)

29 As iron sharpeneth iron; so he sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. (27:17)

30 Because he hideth not his eyes from the poor, he does not lack. (28:27)

31 As a husband, he is known in the gates, where he sitteth among the elders of the land. (31:23)

Grace to you my brother in Jesus name!!!

I commend you on your efforts to portray the ideal righteous mate to the ladies here, however, I find this list in many instances to be inaccurate and incomplete in it's portrayal of what the ideal Godly mate looks like.

Going by this list, Jesus himself, and many of his apostles would be disqualified.

FOR EXAMPLE:

7 For he keeps the commandment of his father and forsakes not the law of his mother: (6:20)

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

GENESIS 2:24

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. MATT 10:37-38

And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? MATT 19:4-5

19 And his ways please Jehovah, so that the Lord maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. (16:7)

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her

mother in law.

And a mans foes shall be they of his own household.

MATT 10:34-36

Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. Luke 12:51-53

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

27 Neither is he found among winebibbers, nor gluttonous eaters of flesh. (23:20)

For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.

The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children. MATT 11:18-19

Again, I really commend you efforts, but what has been posted here cannot not be used as a source of spiritual guidance, as it has been written here and taken out of the context in which it was inspired.

Peace my brother!!

Your biblical comments are good.

However, the above post also has biblical

scriptures. And, they are very good.

The issue is not goodness of God's word here, but rather context. Scriptures applied out of context, or out of harmony with each other, lead to error. As ministers of the word, we are cautioned against this.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that

needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2Timothy 2:15

Just as we can rightfully divide, we can wrongfully divide. My purpose was to bring clarity to the scriptures which were presented.

It's all good, when it comes to the word of God.

Peace!!!

I am aware of your scriptures. However, Victory gave a good Comment as to what a Man should be seeking a Proverbs 31 woman.

Often times, Everyone does not always Agree.

I know what the Word says. ALL good things come from

The LORD.

Thanks for your Response.
