theoneandonly333-

no one chooses to live in fear nor do they like it. it is from past hurts and childhood that we start gather info about trust and rejection, abandonment and many others.

but it's not just women, men have it too.

the bible says "perfect love casts out fear" 1 Jn 4:18

God is perfect love.

I love that post! Fear is the opposite of faith.

People fear because they do not really trust God - and because they do not understand the power that is in

them through Christ or how to use that power. The same

spirit which raised Christ from the dead lives inside each one

of us.

It it hardly only females who live in fear. And your statement is very broad, whereas in real life I believe it applies to a small percentage of men and women.

I am a man and while I work at being fearless I am not as much so as I should be.

But regardless of what anyone has been through - when you break it down our experiences are not what is at the root of fear in reality. The truth is fear stems from:

1) A lack of faith in God and

2) A lack of having our identity in Christ

When I am walking in both things there is almost nothing that can frighten me. I know that God has all power (#1) and that

Christ lives in me (#1 & 2). And even those who can kill my body can not kill my soul. Beyond that it helps that I know my

authority in Christ against Satan - and not only that but I use

it to stop him & move him out of my way.

Firs things first: I'm a little offended that you are insinuating that men are not afraid as well.

And, the bible also says we are to fear the Lord.

That being said, yes, I am afraid. I am scared of life sometimes and the future, but I face it with God at my side.

I want love, but I am afraid of rejection. I have been ridiculed, laughed at, called ugly, and been made to feel inferior. Yes I am so afraid. You would be too, if you went through what I did. But I am working through that, and it takes time and a lot of courage.

Fear is an emotion, one that takes courage to overcome.

Hello everyone:

As long as this life continues there will be sin.

Sin is the result of 'UNBELIEF'.

As long as there is 'UNBELIEF' THERE WILL BE SIN,

As long as there is sin there will be 'FEAR'.

Many times in Scripture we are commanded to 'FEAR NOT',when we fear we are not believeing the Word of GOD.

We are not believeing what He has said of Himself,AND we are not believing what He has said about us.

Though we are susceptable to the reuslts of this life through the fall,Yet, We are INDESTRUCTIBLE,until taken out of this life.

Yeshua says He does not remove the tests, trials or persecutions, or fears He does say that He will be with us through them.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Heb 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Shalom

Raina3 - I think its common for even the most beautiful women (and there is nothing wrong with your looks) and men too to fear rejection. But we do not have to be and should not be ruled by our emotions.

Do you believe God loves you?

Do you believe His word is good and He will give you what you need?

Good! Because if you do - He will.

Don't be ruled by past experiences and your emotions. You do have a choice.
